Is Ascira A Scam? (Another Overhyped Pyramid Scheme?!)(REVIEW)

It’s likely that you have come across Ascira through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

Is Ascira a scam? The reasons why you’re here is because you have want answers right so, that’s what I’m going to provide for you within this Ascira review.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining Ascira. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.

To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of Ascira so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at Ascira that will hopefully help you to make the best decision you can in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: Ascira

OWNER/S: John Sachtouras

TYPE OF PRODUCT: education and travel based MLM

PRICE: $499 – $4999

SUMMARY: No, Ascria is not a pyramid scheme or a scam, then again it is very new so it’s hard to tell if it will become one later down the line due to shoddy business practices.

Nevertheless, I still would not recommend joining it because recruitment will probably be the main way to make money with it (even if retail sales are possible), the joining fees currently are quite expensive starting at $499 and the high likelihood of failing with MLM’s are the main reasons why it’s not at the top of my list for a must join business opportunity.

FINAL RATING: 1.5/5

RECOMMENDED: No

WHAT IS ASCIRA?

Ascira logo

Ascira is an education and travel based MLM founded by John Sachtouras which is set to launch in early March 2020 so, it’s obviously a very new MLM in the market.

The niche that it focuses on however isn’t very new at all. In fact it’s got quite a bit of competition from other more established MLM institutions like evolution travel, traverus, goodlife USA, ibuumerang and a ton more in the form of free travel portals.

This is why I personally don’t think this new travel based company in Ascira will do amazing but, it could prove me wrong so we’ll have to see about that.

Anyhow, before moving onto the core contents of what Ascira offers, I’ll first like to cover a bit of John’s history within the business world but, more particularly in the MLM scene.

Surprisingly John seems to have a pretty decent track record with MLM’s having mostly worked with legit MLM’s from the likes of Organo gold where he worked with them from 2009 – 2013 earning in the region of $400k/month. He worked with another company called Jeunesse from July 2018. That however, wasn’t as great so in April 2019 he decided to join yet another company.

This company was called FutureNet, which was probably his worst decision out of all 3 of the aforementioned MLM’s as FutureNet was a ponzi cycler scheme that eventually jumped into the extremely volatile crypto market.

Another concerning thing about Acsira is that the majority of the company’s team is filled with ex FutureNet ambassadors as well as ambassadors from other ponzi schemes in the past but, whether or not that means this new venture will be a flop is hard to say.

Of course that’s what I’ll attempt to answer within the rest of this review so that you have a pretty good idea on what you’ll find within the company if you decide to join.

ASCIRA PRODUCTS

Ascira offer 2 different products, these 2 are their educational platform called the Ascira academy and their travel based portal known as the smart portal.

Within the Ascira academy you’ll be taught a multitude of topics, some of which include :

  • Leadership Branding
  • Personal Development
  • Health and Wellness
  • Travel and Lifestyle
  • Languages
  • Beauty and fashion
  • Smart Money

And a bunch more that I’m sure will be added over time.

As for the Smart Travel, the features it’ll provide will include the following :

  • Discounts of flight travel
  • Discount on hotels
  • Car rental discounts
  • Events and a bunch more that’ll be revealed over time.

Both the academy and the smart travel portal will come in the form of a subscription service however, as of right now there is no clear indication of what the price may be.

Within their pre launch presentation the presenter does throw around $99/month figure but, it’s not made quite clear if that applies to the retail pricing of the subscriptions or something completely different.

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH ASCIRA?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, Ascira being no exception.

1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales

2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.

HOW TO GET STARTED

If you want to join Ascira you can purchase one of 2 known affiliate packs. These 2 are the Pro Package and the Founders club, both of which are quite expensive.

The Pro Pack Membership is $499 and includes :

  • three months of Ascira Academy and Smart Travel
  • one convention ticket

The Founders club $4999 and includes :

  • twelve months of Ascira Academy and Smart Travel
  • four VIP convention tickets

There do appear to be 2 other packages costing around $199 to $2499 but, that’s the only information about them.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

The compensation plan is easily the most important element for any potential Ascira affiliate to study that’s why in this section of the review I will briefly be going over the contents of it here.

Firstly, as is the case with all MLM’s Ascira does have a fair few affiliate ranks that can be achieved by members, which include the following :

  1. Bronze
  2. Silver
  3. Gold
  4. Platinum
  5. Double Platinum
  6. Diamond
  7. Double Diamond
  8. Triple Diamond
  9. Blue Diamond
  10. Black Diamond
  11. Prime Ambassador
  12. Master Ambassador
  13. Global Ambassador
  14. Crown Ambassador
  15. Royal Ambassador

15 different ranks is definitely up there as being among the higher number of affiliate ranks I’ve seen and it of course also implies that a lot of recruitment will be necessary on your part to achieve them.

Retail Commission

These are commissions you’ll earn every time you make a retail sale of the academy and the tavel portal. The commission rate is 20% per sale.

Recruitment Commissions

Whenever you recruit a new affiliate Ascira will pay you a 15% commission.

Residual Commissions

Ascira pays its members residually through a 3×12 matrix structure. What this means is that there will be one affiliate at the top of the structure who will be able to recruit 3 individuals. On the second level those 3 affiliates will also be able to recruit 3 more affiliates and this pattern continues until the 12th level of the structure.

Of course as the company at the writing of this review is at the the pre launch phase we’re only told that you’ll be able to earn a 5% commission rate from level 1 recruits and that the residual commissions can become as high as 35%.

There are various other less necessary bonuses to learn about in the beginning stages as an Ascira affiliate which include the matching bonus, rank achievement bonus, global diamond bonus, lifestyle bonus but, if you do want to check them out, I’d suggest watching the presentation down below.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

Recruiting Will Be Essential For Success

I’m pretty darn certain that you will need to be very good at recruitment to really make anything worthwhile with Ascira because it’s quite unlikely that most people would even purchase a travel portal to get a “discount on holidays”.

Besides even if they did, considering how seasonal going on holiday tends to be, it’s quite unlikely you’ll be making a very consistent steam of income through retail sales anyways as most people will likely cancel they’re subscriptions.

Not to mention the insane number of ranks within the company which quite heavily implies recruitment will pretty much determine whether or not you’ll succeed or be another one of these individuals who are left with a huge hole in their wallets.

That’s why in this case I’ll say If you’re not already good at recruiting or aren’t willing to get good at it, I’d suggest skipping out on Ascira along with any other MLM for that matter.

Quite Expensive To Join

Currently starting at $499 simply to join not including any other business related expenses, Ascira is one of the more expensive companies to take part in.

Most other MLM’s tend to start off at around $200 – $300 for the initial joining fee (of course autoships tend to inflate the numbers exponentially by the end of the year) so investing $499 in an unproven company is a bit much in my opinion.

This price point isn’t necessarily the biggest reasons to not join Ascira but, I do believe it’s a valid negative, which is enhanced further when you consider the somewhat shady history of a few of the company’s ambassadors.

Most People Probably Will Fail

Although there aren’t any numbers to back this claim up when it comes to Ascira (due to how young it is), I’m still very certain that most people are likely to fail.

The reason I say this is because I’ve seen many many different income statements from other MLM’s and have found that around 70 – 80% usually fail to break even and only around the top 5% of members tend to make decent income in the $1k/month range.

Once again I’m not saying these numbers absolute facts but, if I were to put money on it I can’t see the actual earned income from affiliates being too far off my estimate.

THE GOOD THINGS

The only positive I can personally find about the company at this moment in time is John’s decent history in the MLM scene, bar of course FutreNet but, that’s about the only thing that’s a positive (to an extent) about the company. Other than that Ascira is pretty average in my opinion.

IS ASCIRA A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

No, Ascria is not a pyramid scheme or a scam, then again it is very new so it’s hard to tell if it will become one later down the line due to shoddy business practices.

Nevertheless, I still would not recommend joining it because recruitment will probably be the main way to make money with it (even if retail sales are possible), the joining fees currently are quite expensive starting at $499 and the high liklihood of failing with MLM’s are the main reasons why it’s not at the top of my list for a must join business opportunity.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding Ascira, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about Ascira and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!

Thanks
