Welcome to my Advanced Dropshipping Academy review!
It’s likely that you have come across Advanced Dropshipping Academy through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.
First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to purchasing or joining Advanced Dropshipping Academy. For all you could have known, Advanced Dropshipping Academy may very well be a scam and rob you of your money so this review could help you find anything peculiar about it.
To be totally transparent with you I haven’t used Advanced Dropshipping Academy so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you on it unless of course it’s worth investing in.
What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party review of Advanced Dropshipping Academy that will hopefully help you to make the correct decision in the end.
PRODUCT NAME: Advanced Dropshipping Academy (ADA)
OWNER/S: Chris Wane
TYPE OF PRODUCT: Dropshipping course
PRICE: $397
SUMMARY: No, Advanced Dropshipping Academy is not a scam, it’s a legitimate dropshipping course created by a fairly accomplished dropshipper in Chris Wane.
Although the course is well made there are few bits of training missing or lacking to an extent such as the fairly basic Facebook ads training and the lack of Influencer marketing (which is a minor problem) but, at $397 I really can’t say ADA is a bad course at all if you really want to learn dropshipping.
However, dropshipping isn’t the online money making method I’d personally recommend you look into, instead I’d suggest affiliate marketing as the costs to start up such a business is generally cheaper to do and doesn’t require you to work with third parties directly in order to get things moving.
FINAL RATING: 3.5/5
RECOMMENDED: sure
Table of Contents
WHAT IS ADVANCED DROPSHIPPING ACADEMY?
Advanced Dropshipping Academy is a dropshipping course created by an individual named Chris Wane, who’s an English entrepreneur and youtuber with over 11k subscribers.
From the contents found within his channel, it seems to primarily be focused on the dropshipping scene, going over his tactics in finding the right products, how to budget for dropshipping and everything else within this line of thought.
Now the thing here is that Chris isn’t the only individual who offers a course focused on dropshipping, in this day and age the whole internet is filled with guru’s selling you courses just to make a few bucks, often times overhyping the actual potential of dropshipping and misleading people by stating the sales generated and not the profit ultimately accumulated after the margins are calculated.
From what I’ve seen of Chris on his channel however, he does appear to be quite a likeable and along with the occasionally clickbaity title he does seem to offer a good amount of value to his audience.
Nevertheless, whether or not this effectively translates to a good course is a different matter in the grand scheme of things.
Of course I do believe he will offer a good amount of value within the dropshipping scene considering he is still actively dropshipping himself as opposed to just selling his course but, I’ll break down the core contents of the course so that you have rough idea on whether it’s worth it or not.

HOW DOES ADVANCED DROPSHIPPING ACADEMY WORK?
If you want to purchase the course, you’d need to do so on quite an obscure platform called Thinkific, which is a little different from your normal digital product platforms in clickbank or warrior plus. I can’t say this is too problematic or anything although I would say it is less trustworthy than the other platforms.
As for what you’ll find within the course, it comes with 13 modules spanning over 63 videos. This atleast means the guys put some effort into the course instead of making ADA provide you passable content to consume.
The quality of his videos and production should be pretty solid too considering his YouTube videos are genuinely nice to look at and have excellent audio quality too.
Anyhow, now I’ll briefly explain what each section of the course aims to teach you so that you have a solid grasp on what Chris wants you to know.
Module 1 : Introduction
The introduction simply covers the basic outline of what you’ll find within ADA, a case study of one his stores that has generated $500k in revenue and so on.
As I mentioned above the sales figure of the store don’t necessarily represent the expenses and ultimately the profit margins. Even then it does show that dropshipping can work and that Chris knows how to make sales and lots of it at that, which means his training in generating sales may very well be effective but not necessarily profitable.
Then again this is just the intro and the first videos are just used by Chris to qualify himself as someone worth learning from as opposed to truly being valuable so, I wouldn’t look too much into it.
The last section of the module goes over whether or not a general niche or a more focused niche is what you should go for when deciding on what items you want to dropship.
Module 2 : Finding A Winning Product
This section goes over the strategies Chris uses when looking for a product that can potentially be very profitable. Chris will go over the important elements of finding a winning product where he discusses what suppliers you should work with, the profit margin of products, the shipping times etc.
He covers both free (Facebook, Instagram etc.) and paid ways to find trending or simply profitable products. This section is one I believe will be very useful for beginner level dropshippers as often it’s at the product finding phase that beginners trip up on.
Module 3 : Building Your Store
This module just goes over how you should set up your store from setting up payment methods, upselling on certain items, and all the basic information you need when building your store.
Chris recommends using shopify on this part of the process which of course will cost an extra monthly cost but, if you know anything about dropshipping, shopify is always at the forefront of the business model.
Everything here is done in an over the shoulder manner therefore it should be pretty easy to follow.
You’ll also be taught how to set up your Google analytics and be asked to look into using Oberlo which fulfills orders from Aliexpress, ultimately streamlining a large portion of the selling side of things.
Module 4 : Facebook Ads
This section covers how to set up your Facebook ads account along with implementing the Facebook pixel software on to your dropshipping store. It also goes over how to set up your first few campaigns, targeting techniques using the broad and interests method and couple videos on page post moderation and campaign management.
This section of the course is a decent addition to ADA however, the training on Facebook ads is quite basic here so don’t expect to just start killing it with every campaign your run when using Chris’ methods
Module 5 : Fulfilling Orders
As I mentioned above, Chris recommends you use this plugin called Oberlo along with another plugin called Dsers to sort the fulfillment problem out.
The fifth module also goes over how to track orders from a supplier once it has been shipped.
Module 6 : Retargeting Ads
This section goes over the benefits of using ads to try and sell to an individual who may have gone on your site previously because going to people who may previously have been interested in buying your product are more likely to purchase something over colder audience.
This is mostly accomplished due to the data generated via your Facebook pixel. In this section Chris goes over how to retarget individuals through Facebook ads, SMS and even dealing with retargeting individuals for specific products.
Module 7 : Scaling A Winning Product
Module 7 goes over the process of scaling your product shown through the use of multiple case studies. Chris goes over how to effectively test methods to scale along with building lookalike audiences and implementing specific upselling techniques.
Module 8 & 9 : Outsourcing, Automation, Branding
These 2 modules just go over the methods Chris recommends you implement to both minimise the workload through the assistance of hired workers online to automate processes and ultimately getting your brand out there for more notoriety through the use of private label products.
Module 10 & 11 : Selling Your Store & Conclusion
Module 10 just goes over the process you’ll need to go through in order to sell your store. This includes said store having consistent sales for 6 – 12 months old.
Module 11 is just a little conclusion, nothing more to say about it really.
Module 12 & 13 : Bonuses
These are some extra bonuses that Chris has tacked on top and includes the following resources:
- The best Shopify apps to use
- Links for signing up/themes
- Customer service templates
- Shopify page content
- Break even calculator.
Typical of dropshipping courses, ADA also has its own Facebook mastermind group where you can exchange thoughts with other members of the course and with Chris and gain some encouragement or knowledge to help you achieve better results as a dropshipper.
HOW MUCH DOES ADVANCED DROPSHIPPING ACADEMY COST?
Suprisingly ADA isn’t the most expensive of dropshipping courses that I’ve come across as it only costs $397, which when compared to the typical $997 course, is relatively affordable.
Of course dropshipping isn’t a cheap thing to delve into, especially in the beginning with the testing of ads and attempting to find a winning product but, as a dropshipping course ADA is at the very least more affordable than most other out in the market.
THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS
Some Core Training On Influencer Marketing Is Left Out
Although ADA is a well made course judging from the research I’ve done of it, it does seem to lack in one area, the use of Influencer marketing, as in using Pinterest, Instagram or Facebook to promote products.
I understand that this isn’t likely to be Chris’ strong suit which is why he doesn’t add it here but, it is one core source of training that I do believe should be included to some degree.
Just so you know I don’t think that this is too big a problem because Facebook ad marketing and the retargeting side of things will likely work well enough but, the lack of Influencer marketing training is a minor problem nonetheless.
THE GOOD THINGS
Chris Is Legit
Nowadays even when the biggest entrepreneur and course sellers on YouTube seem to be very borderline “fake gurus”, it is genuinely harder to trust in other online entrepreneurs nevertheless, from what I’ve gathered about Chris, he doesn’t seem to be another one of these bad apples and in my opinion at least, I’d say he’s fairly legit.
The Course Is Pretty Solid
Everything that’s covered within ADA does appear to be quite good and is more than likely to help a fair few beginner level dropshippers really start moving in the right direction.
As for more advanced individuals, maybe the retargeting section and the upscalling side of things might be somewhat useful but the rest won’t really add too much to their knowledge.
When you also take into account the fairly reasonable $397 price tag for the entirety of the course along with the bonuses and Facebook group, even in terms of value I can’t say ADA is bad either.

IS ADVANCED DROPSHIPPING ACADEMY A SCAM?
No, Advanced Dropshipping Academy is not a scam, it’s a legitimate dropshipping course created by a fairly accomplished dropshipper in Chris Wane.
Nevertheless, in the end of the day what business you decide to pursue will be dependant on your personal circumstances.
MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION
I’d suggest you check out my personal recommendation if you still want to make money online, though I’ll warn you right now, it isn’t something through which money will come easy.
It is nonetheless a great business model for the online space in my opinion
So what is this method that I’m talking about?
This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.
The reasons as to why I recommend it is because:
– expectations toward success are a lot more grounded
– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products
– it is a very scalable business
– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.
The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.
