First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining Truvision Health. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.

To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of Truvision Health so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

PRODUCT NAME: Truvision

OWNER/S: Travis Martin, Derek Bailey and Shawn Gibson

TYPE OF PRODUCT: health and wellness MLM

PRICE: $35 + starter kit + autoship plan

SUMMARY: No, Truvision does not appear to be a scam or a pyramid scheme and it does seem like the company does produce solid products however, it also has its fair share of issues that don’t make it the greatest of business opportunities to pursue, in my opinion at least.

The heavy emphasis on recruitment to succeed, the really expensive start up and maintenance costs, the issues it’s had with the FDA in 2015 and 2017 as well as the generally low success rate with MLM’s as whole (which likely includes Truvision) are the main reasons I personally would not recommend joining Truvision.

FINAL RATING: 2/5

RECOMMENDED: No

WHAT IS TRUVISION HEALTH?

Truvision health logo

Truvision is a health and wellness MLM founded by Travis Martin, Derek Bailey and Shawn Gibson in 2014 making it a relatively new establishment in this particularly competitive niche.

Speaking of which, Truvision has a ton if competition in this scene from companies like immunotec, PM International, Viiva, Forever living to name a few so, this factor could prove problamatic for Truvision.

However, the fact its still running nearly 6 years later does give the company some hope at least from what I could find on it.

But, on the website a lot of what the company says is very generic and something a lot of other health and wellness MLM’s tend to say too. In this case Truvision’s mission is to “help support a healthy lifestyle and gives individuals the opportunity to make money through their culture and business opportunities”.

There may be a chance that Truvision is genuinely a good company to join as it has generated upwards of $60 million in revenue however, there’s also the issue with them getting into trouble with the FDA in 2015 and 2017 that may also not make it worth your time.

Nevertheless, throughout the rest of this review I’ll lay out a lot of the core elements to the business opportunity so that you can make a more informed decision on whether Truvision is worth joining or not.

TRUVISION HEALTH PRODUCTS

Truvision has quite the large library of products put into multiple different categories, some of which include the following :

  1. Skin Care
  2. Essential Oils
  3. Core
  4. Complementary

As for a few of the main line products included in Truvision’s line up, they include the following :

  • Trufix – This is a product that helps cholesterol and maintains good blood sugar levels.
  • TruWeight and Energy – These products are designed to help in losing weight and come in a drink form that is infused with a green tea extract.
  • Heart and Hydration – This product is designed to replenish your bodies electrolytes and also to improve heart health.
  • TrueFuel – These products are whole food products that are mainly protein based and contain fiber and omega vitamins.
  • TruSlumber – This is a product that offers a better sound full night sleep and also helps with muscle recovery.

The products above are more so weight loss based and from some reviews I could find of them, reviews I’ve seen online from the likes of unaffiliateguru and bbb, users did actually achieve some solid results.

However, just because a lot of individuals have found the products to be really good and really do good job in helping them lose weight, there are still others who’ve tried them and weren’t able to get any positive results whatsoever.

Then again there likely are many factors involved so, it’s impossible to completely blame products quality for the lack of results for some.

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH TRUVISON HELATH?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, Truvision being no exception.

1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales

2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.

HOW TO GET STARTED

If you want to join Truvision the first thing you’d need to do is invest $35. This will only gives you access to the membership. If you also want to gain access to the compensation plan, you’ll need to purchase one of their starter kits. These kits can range from $99 – $330+

Furthermore, in order to remain an active member month after month, you’ll need to purchase 100PV of products of every month, which from my research appears to be equivalent to around $107.

This ultimately means becoming a Truvison distributor is going to cost you over $1.2k to maintain on a yearly basis, making it a pretty expensive MLM business to join.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

The compensation plan is quite in depth so I’ll only be going over it quite briefly here. Therefore, if you’re genuinely serious about the company you should go over the document in more detail afterwards.

Retail Commissions

The most basic way to earn money with Truvision is via its retail commissions. The products themselves have different prices depending on what kind of member you are.

Distributors, which are also known as associates within Truvision, are able to buy products at a discounted wholesale price and basically make a profit on the difference between the retail and wholesale price.

Fast Start Bonus

Truvision pays it’s affiliates a bonus commission on the first order or first 30 days worth of orders, of a personally recruited member.

The bonus uses a unilevel based structure to determine how much an affiliate can earn through this fast start bonus. If you’re unfamiliar with what a unilevel structure is, it simply allows affiliates to earn infinitely on the horizontal sense but vertically the earnings are capped.

In this case the earnings will be capped at level 4

As for how much you’ll earn via this fast start bonus, affiliates can make the following :

  • 1st Level – The first level pays out 20% from your personally referred member’s 1st-month purchase.
  • 2nd Level – The second level pays out 10% on these team member’s 1st-month purchase.
  • 3rd Level – The third level pays out 5% on these team member’s 1st-month purchase.
  • 4th Level – The fourth level pays out 5% on these team member’s 1st-month purchase.

Do note that this is paid out weekly.

Residual Commissions

This commission also uses a unilevel structure but the earning potential this time is capped at level 8

The levels from which you can earn from will be decided by your affiliate rank within the company. As for how much you can earn, it will be a percentage of the sales volume generated within each level. The percentages you can earn within each level will be between 5 – 7%, the image below shows.

Truvision health compensation plan

As you can see, there aren’t all that many elements to the compensation plan making it look relatively simple however, this doesn’t mean it’s an easy compensation plan to earn from.

If you want to check out Truvision’s official video on the plan, I suggest watching the video below

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

Recruitment Is Essential For Success

Recruitment is going to be the main way to make good money with Truvision considering with retail sales you’d need to sell upwards of 200 products to make a full time income, which required a helluva a lot selling on your par every month.

Recruitment is obviously hard too but, it’s also more beneficial in the long run too. The reason I say this is because you will both get higher in rank by bringing in new people and if these personal recruits of yours are competent recruiters themselves, you’ll also grow your earning potential without needing to do extra work.

Simply put, unlike retail commissions where you’d need to continuously maintain a certain amount of sales to get by, through recruitment you’ll actually make a lot more money without necessarily doing more work however, this doesn’t mean I personally consider this model to be completely ethical.

Anyhow, my main point here is that Truvision pushes the idea of recruiting especially when you consider the autoship plan therefore, if you’re no good at it or aren’t willing to learn how to get good at it, you probably won’t succeed with the company.

It’s A Really Expensive MLM To Join

The basic starter kit and the $35 initial costs aren’t all that expensive but, the autoship plan which essentially requires you to invest $100 a month simply to stay active on a monthly basis, makes Truvision quite an expensive MLM to join.

I’ve never been fond of mandatory autoship plans simply to have its affiliates remain active because it’s often a red flag that pyramid scheme tend to display, so I’m obviously not a fan of it here too.

Even if the company isn’t a pyramid scheme, at least from what I’ve researched of it, the over $1.2k maintenance fee for a year is it a bit much to simply gain access to the compensation plan and I’m sure you agree with me on that front.

They’ve Had Problems With The FDA

In 2015, Truvision were officially called out for a violation against the FDA for using Synephrine and DMDA. These 2 ingredients are regarded as dangerous when combined with other substances, particularly when mixed with caffeine.

In 2017 they got in trouble with FDA again, this time due to a violation of the Current Good Manufacturing Process and the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. The reason why was because the product containers didn’t contain information on the number of servings, wrong serving sizes whilst they marketed their products as drugs.

Most People Will Fail

I couldn’t find an income disclosure statement discussing the earnings of Truvision’s associates on a yearly basis but, having seen probably 40+ statements over the years, I’m still pretty certain that most affiliates will fail.

I’ve found that on average only around 5% of members tend make $1k/month whilst an even smaller percentage of 1 manage to generate $2k+/month so yeah, the chances of finding success with the company is going to be quite difficult.

In fact, if you consider the really high maintenance costs, it’s highly likely that 80 – 90% will struggle to even break even so, definitely take this into account before joining Truvision.

THE GOOD THINGS

Users Really Like The Products

The products seek to generally be positively received with users actually achieving very positive weight loss results with Truvision’s products.

Of course not everyone is guaranteed to get results with the company’s products but, those who’ve left reviews on the weight loss based ones have been positive so, this is clearly a good thing.

IS TRUVISION HEALTH A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

No, Truvision does not appear to be a scam or a pyramid scheme and it does seem like the company does produce solid products however, it also has its fair share of issues that don’t make it the greatest of business opportunities to pursue, in my opinion at least.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding Truvision, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about Truvision and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
