PRODUCT NAME: Noonday Collection (NC)

OWNER/S: Jessica Honegger.

TYPE OF PRODUCT: jewellery based MLM

PRICE: $199 + 9.99/month

SUMMARY: As far as I can tell, Noonday Collection is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam, it is a legitimate MLM company that’s already reasonably established and also has a solid collection of products to choose from however, as a business opportunity I personally don’t think it’s a great one to go for.

The compensation plan not being easily accessible is one problem I have with NC, the fact you also need to recruit in order to truly be successful and the really low success rates within the MLM scene are a few big reasons why I’d not recommend joining NC.

FINAL RATING: 1.5/5

RECOMMENDED: No

WHAT IS NOONDAY COLLECTION?

Noonday collection logo

NC is a MLM company based around selling jewellery and other accessories. The company is also quite an established one having started all the way back in 2010 by Jessica Honegger.

The jewellery niche itself isn’t the most popular one I’ve noticed among other MLM’s but, I have reviewed quite a few of them myself including the likes of Paparazzi Accessories and Origami Owl so, in terms of competition, not including normal non MLM brands, NC does have its fair share.

But, the company itself doesn’t seem to be the most popular and it does have a few red flags that may not make it the greatest of business opportunities to pursue nevertheless, I’ll explain why in bit more detail throughout the rest of the review.

NOONDAY COLLECTION PRODUCTS

As NC is a jewellery and accessory based business, it does make a lot of sense that the type of products they sell fall within this niche.

Some of the company’s lineup include :

  • Necklaces
  • Bracelets
  • Earrings
  • Rings Bags
  • Scarves
  • Accessories
  • Seasonal collections and a fair more.

So, the collection in this case is far from small, likely spanning well over 100 different items. As for how expensive the items can be, they range from $14 to $120+ with the average price being around $30 so, the items being sold here are a little expensive on average.

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH NOONDAY COLLECTION?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, NC being no exception.

1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales

2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.

HOW TO GET STARTED

If you want to join NC, there are a few factors you’ll need to take indo consideration before you can actually promote the company and in turn earn from the compensation plan.

The first fee you’ll need pay is for a starter kit, of which you have 3 to choose from :

  • The Basics ($199)
  • The Essentials ($349)
  • The Luxe ($699)

The difference between each pack is that you get more products the more you spend and also have the potential to make a larger profit per item. You also get some marketing resources for purchasing a starter kit.

The next fee you’ll need to pay is $9.99/month to get access to the following resources :

  • A personal e-commerce website
  • Web office to manage your business
  • On-demand training courses
  • Digital marketing materials to book shows and sell
  • Top rated customer support team

Lastly, you’ll need to throw a few hosting parties to try and accumulate $500 of sales every 6 months otherwise you won’t be eligible to remain as an active member so, that’s likely to cost an extra couple hundred dollars per year.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

One major problem that I have with NC is the fact that they don’t make it easy for individuals to find their compensation plan. Nevertheless, through a bit of research I did manage to find a few elements to the plan, so that’s what I’ll briefly go over below.

Firstly you should know that the company has a fair share of ranks that affiliates can reach. These ranks will also determine how much a member will be able to benefit from the plan and in short it will require affiliates to recruit a ton in order to reach top top ranks.

Retail Commissions

This is the most basic way to earn with NC and simply requires you to buy NC products at their wholesale price and then sell them at their retail price. You then keep the difference as profit. The profit percentage is roughly around 25 – 30%.

Residual Commissions

This area of the plan allows affiliates to earn via a “pyramid” like structure where affiliates at the top will be able to earn from people in lower levels. Of course the structure itself doesn’t mean that a MLM is a pyramid scheme but, depending on how hard a company pushes recruiting, it can eventually be regarded as one.

Anyway, in this case affiliate will earn, in residual commissions, anywhere from 5 – 10% from the sales generated within each given level so there is a lot of potential here if you’re able to recruit enough people under you.

There are various other bonuses that I’m sure NC offer too however, without any access to their compensation plan, it’s hard to distinguish what they are.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

You Will Need To Recruit A Lot In Order To Truly Succeed

In order to succeed with NC you will need to either be really good at sales or really really push getting good at recruitment. Although, do keep in mind that recruitment is a lot more profitable when it comes to MLM companies.

Sales will theoretically be able to generate you a good income but, you’d likely need to sell 100+ items to generate a full time income and you’ll obviously need to maintain that every month, which isn’t an easy thing to do.

That’s why recruitment is better for achieving success within the MLM scene and within NC as a whole because you won’t need to always work super hard every month to eventually get to a full time income, the amount of work will actually decrease over time whilst your profits may very well exponentially increase.

I personally am not a fan of the recruitment model but, the reality is that in order to truly succeed with NC you will either already need to be good at recruiting or be willing to learn how to get good at it.

Lack Of Access To The Compensation Plan

The lack of a compensation plan is a really annoying problem as people who are serious won’t really be able to understand how the company works. It also shows that the company isn’t quite as transparent as they should be when trying to convince other join.

In my opinion it is kind of a red flag for a MLM too but, take this point as you see fit as it’s not necessarily the biggest red flag a MLM can display.

Most People Will Fail

Although I couldn’t find an income disclosure statement discussing how much money affiliates make with NC, I’m pretty sure that the results are unlikely to be all that great.

I’ve seen many income statements from other MLM’s and what I’ve found to generally be the case is that 5% of all members tend to make $1k/month whilst a measly 1% of all members seem to make a full time income of around $2k+/month.

So If you do decide to join NC, keep these figures in mind.

THE GOOD THINGS

The main positives I found regarding the company is that the products themselves genuinely seem to be liked by users and the fact it’s been around a good amount of time does make it a somewhat credible company to buy from.

However, even with these positive points, from what I’ve seen of NC, it’s doesn’t seem like a great establishment to work with, in my opinion at least.

IS NOONDAY COLLECTION A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

As far as I can tell, Noonday Collection is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam, it is a legitimate MLM company that’s already reasonably established and also has a solid collection of products to choose from however, as a business opportunity I personally don’t think it’s a great one to go for.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding NC, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about NC and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
