To be totally transparent with you I haven’t used Finish Line Network so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you on it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

PRODUCT NAME: Finish Line Network (FLN)

OWNER/S: Joel & Kitty Kellman, Paul Counts, Doug Wellens, Greg Chambers, Todd McCart, and Chad Stalvey

TYPE OF PRODUCT: Internet marketing MLM

PRICE: $20/month + $130/month/$2997 for 3 years worth

SUMMARY: FNL isn’t a pyramid scheme or a scam as far as I can tell but, there definitely is a possibility of it being the case.

The only reason why I have a few doubts is because they only sell digital products which is what actual pyramid schemes before it have done. The only, I guess positive I can say about FNL, is the high commission rates.

There are a lot more negative aspects to it than positive. Firstly you need to recruit to succeed which is further emphasised by the lacksuter income you’ll be making as suggested by the income disclaimer. The Products are really expensive as are the yearly upkeep fees and the digital courses themselves just don’t seem to offer too much value for the price.

The fact it’s new is again an element of the MLM that kind of knocks their credibility, even if they do have a bunch of people who know how the MLM system works as their Co founders.

I’d personally recommend avoiding the company but in the end of the day you’ll be the one making the final decision on this opportunity.

FINAL RATING: 1.6/5

RECOMMENDED: NO

WHAT IS FINISH LINE NETWORK?

Finish line network logo

Finish Line Network is a MLM company founded by Joel & Kitty Kellman, Paul Counts, Doug Wellens, Greg Chambers, Todd McCart, and Chad Stalvey in late 2018 and are a company that mostly focuses on selling internet marketing products.

FLN’s goal is to provide individuals with the knowledge, resources and connections so that they don’t have to run the profit race but instead “start at the finish line”

Two of the co founders of FLN, Greg Chambers and Doug Wellens, also founded another MLM company called Traffic Authority which has supposedly generated millions in revenue so, at the very least there are some veterans of the MLM niche within the team.

FINISH LINE NETWORK’S PRODUCT LINE

FLN mostly sell digital products and they have quite a few of them. considering they’re quite a new company, the number of products aren’t astronomically large, in fact they only sell 4 mainline products

Anyways the product line consists of :

Finish line network products

  1. Silver Package ($47/month) : This package is basically a lead magnet course. It provides you with tools to effectively generate leads through FLN’s already built landing pages. I think that the price is a little too much for what it offers.
  2. Gold Package ($130/month) : This package gives you access to a virtual Live event or more commonly known as a monthly webinar hosted by a “highly successful and iconic figures in online business” although I do agree that these individuals charge a lot for their packages and there probably some value in it, the fact you only get webinar once a month makes this a little too expensive in my opinion once again.
  3. ePod ($1997 one time fee) : This is the email marketing training that FLN provides. It’s an 8 week live intensive training course with videos, done for you emails and so on. At $1997 and what’s explained regarding the course, it seems like they’re charging way too much for it.

4. Digital Domination ($997 one time fee)

This is the live event that FLN host. It’s a 2 day event and in this live event you’ll be taught advanced email and social media list building, monetization stargeies that get results, the correct way to use social media and so on.

The event isn’t the worst value out of all the products because it is something you would be personally going to and experiencing but, why would you go to this event when there are so many better options available out there that probably offer more value than this package for less.

All in all the products that FLN offer are definitely very expensive and considering the type of information they’re selling, there just are courses out there, such as my #1 Recommendation, that pretty much teach all the same things but a significantly discounted price.

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY THROUGH FINISH LINE NETWORK?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, Finish Line Network being no exception.

1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales

2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.

HOW TO GET STARTED

If you want to join this MLM and promote their products, there are few things that you will need to do. First you will need to put in your refferre’s username and then after that you will need to pay $20/month to become a member and basically get the reseller rights.

However, in order to receive the gold package commissions you’ll need to do one of 2 things. You can either make 6 sales of the gold monthly or gold pro sales or you can decide to purchase one of those 2 subscriptions yourself.

At $130/month or $2997 for a 3 year subscription, the amount you’ll be paying for the commission is going to be far from cheap, you’ll need atleast 3 people who’ve bought the gold package from you to break even and 4 to be making a profit.

If you purchase the monthly plan you’ll be spending $150/month to remain an active affiliate within this MLM, this is a pretty big amount of money to pay in order to just remain eligible for all of the commissions. Considering that FLN is still very new, it’s also a big risk to be taking.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

FLN’s compensation structure is a little annoying to read but, I did try to get some information down so I’m briefly going to explain to you how certain elements of the plan work.

The plan firstly is a unilevel structure meaning you can recruit a theoretically infinite number of members within your downline, horizontally that is.

Anyways these are s few of the ways through which you can make money through FLN :

  1. Direct Commissions : You make a 50% commission on every one of the products you sell as long as you qualify for them. The commission raises once you reach your 7th sals to 80%.
  2. Residual Commissions : You’ll be able to generate commissions from your downline residually.
  3. Bonus Pool : The bonus pool is made up of 20% of the commissions made through sales. This bonus pool is later distributed amongst the affiliates within the company.

If you want a more In depth look at the compensation plan check out the video below.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

You Will Need To Recruit To Succeed

More or less all MLM companies require that you be good at recruiting to be able to properly benefit for their compensation plan and of course FLN isn’t any different in this regard.

The reason why I consider this to be bad is because, by recruiting people you’re sometimes put in a position where you may promote your potential recruits a sub par product at a premium price tag.

You’re upline likely tells you to constantly purchase all the products on regular which gives you the impression that you’ve got to do that too, you’ve got to promote and recommend that your donwline buy everything on offer too.

That’s generally how most individuals within MLM’s make the bulk of their money which means you need to fund a way to generate leads and in turn refferals within your downline.

If you have no idea how to do this, you’ll need to start learning otherwise FLN probably isn’t going to be the best thing for you to pursue.

The Products Are Really Expensive For What They Offer

The amount you’ll be paying for the products on offer is a bit too expensive in my opinion, especially when you take into account what they offer.

The information provided within the products don’t really seem like something worth paying a couple hundred per month just to gain access to, especially when you can get all that information, I’m talking the info found within the silver and gold packages, in my #1 Recommendation, although without all the templates and stuff.

The fact they’re so expensive is most likely going to make them a very hard thing to sell.

Moreover, the fact that the products are digital based bar the live event, that raises a red flag because other digital selling companies like Mobe and Digital Altitude got shut because they didn’t have any physical products.

Of course this is just speculation but, who knows there may be truth to this thought process.

The Upkeep Is A Pretty Penny Too!

The upkeep is definitely up there as one of the more expensive MLM’s that I’ve seen. At the bare minimum, in order to gain access to all of the commissions available, you’ll be required to spend $20/month for the reseller rights and another $130/month on the gold package.

When you add it all up for a years total and this isn’t included all the other miscellaneous fees you’ll have to deal with such as advertising costs and so on, you’ll be investing $1800 on remaining a member…

That’s definitely a pretty penny to maintain this business which I’m sure is going to be something you’ll need to take account of.

The Income Disclaimer Suggest Most People Aren’t Going To Do Great

Beacause the company is so new, there actually isn’t an income disclosure statement issued as of yet but, FLN do have an income disclaimer that states what the expected returns for most people will be.

Finish line network income disclaimer

FLN project that most of their consultans will be making around $300-$1800 which just shows how the rate of success is going to be very low.

Then again having reviewed multiple MLM’s companies like Xyngular, Lularoe, Usana, Nerium, Ariix, Scentsy etc. And also having seen all of their income statements, this prospect of failure isn’t honestly that surprising.

The yearly potential is around the same ball park as FLN’s income disclaimer states and usually only the top 5% are making $1k+ per month.

I’m not saying it’s impossible to be a really high earner with FLN, it’s just that it’s unlikely and definitely not the method I would suggest you follow.

THE GOOD THINGS

The Commissions Are Pretty Decent

Becasue the pacakges sold are so expensive, at least you’ll actually be able to make a decent commission per sale.

Besides this point, due to how new FLN is in the market it’s hard to say if there’s anything else good about the company so do be wary if you are planning on becoming one of their IBO’s

IS FINISH LINE NETWORK A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

For the time being because FNL is so new, it’s hard to say if it is a pyramid scheme or a scam but I guess it’s a legitimate MLM company for now.

I’d personally recommend avoiding the company but, in the end of the day you’ll be the one making the final decision on this opportunity and hopefully the information I’ve provided should help you out.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.
