It’s likely that you have come across 4life through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.
Is 4life a scam? The reasons why you’re here is because you have want answers right so, that’s what I’m going to provide for you within this 4life review.
First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining 4life. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.
To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of 4life so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.
What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at 4life that will hopefully help you to make the best decision you can in the end.
PRODUCT NAME: 4life
OWNER/S: Bianca and David Lisonbee
TYPE OF PRODUCT: health and wellness MLM
PRICE: $29.95 + optional enrollment kits
SUMMARY: The good news is if you were planning to join 4life, after looking into the MLM company, I can tell you that 4life is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam but, this does not mean there aren’t a couple resaons why you shouldn’t consider looking at other business opportunities if you can.
They use of recruitment and moving up in ranks in order to become a successful member, the expensive product prices and most importantly the low success rate are the few major reasons why I would say that 4life isn’t your best bet at finding success online.
However, there’s no denying that the company’s longevity and the positive attitude of customers who’ve actually used the products, makes it a slightly more appealing endeavour, in my eyes, than the majority of MLM’s out there.
This means that it’s still decent opportunity when paired with a lead generation training (my #1 recommendation) although I still would reccomend not joining it because of just how low the success rate is.
FINAL RATING: 2.5/5

WHAT IS 4LIFE?
4life is a health and wellness MLM founded in 1998 by Bianca and David Lisonbee. So the company is obviously quite established afterall, no average company can still be in business 20 years in. Nevertheless, being a health and wellness MLM, it is in a pretty satuarated market with the likes of bellame, Scentsy, nature’s sunshine, elepreneurs etc so joining it will go down to how different 4life is from the competition.
The video below explains in some detail how 4life came to be. If you’re inter I’d suggest checking it out.
When the company first started out they developed a single product called Transfer Factor which was designed to support the immune system using cow colostrum.
This was revamped in its second iteration called Transfer Factor Plus where it became a Cordyvant blend to the production adding extra support to the immune system, promoting energy and achieving a greater overall well-being.
4life’s mission is “to provide resources that empower individuals to become self-reliant in countries where 4Life conducts business.” It’s a reasonable goal and makes sense for a company like it that aims to help individuals in creating businesses that prosper however, personally knowing the basic premises behind MLM business opportunities in general, it’s tough to see this goal as very credible for most people.
The purpose of this review is to outline what’s offered by the company from the products to the compensation scheme’s benefits and ultimately tell you whether or not 4life is a business opportunity that separates itself from the typical competition and can actually help you get rich or at the very least provide a supplementary profit.

4LIFE PRODUCT LINE
The product line by 4life consists of a multitude of capsule like products like essential oils, personal care products, pet and livestock supplements and so on.
The company has a wide range of products, so much that it’d be hard to list them all down here. Of course if you want to take a look at the line yourself, click here to check them out.
One thing that should definitely be noted is that the products aren’t cheap, which is common among health and wellness MLM’s, in fact it’s likely that the products are 3 – 5 times the price of other cheaper and equally as useful products out there.
Of course I can’t say for sure how good some of 4life’s products are because I’ve never actually used them but, if you do become a distributor for them, I reckon the pricing of the items will likely be the biggest reason in failing to generate sales and making profits in the long run.
DOES THE PRODUCT ACTUALLY WORK?
In terms of the quality of products that 4life offers, it appears as if they’re well received by the majority of individuals who’ve used them.
BBB however, does show a bit of a mixed reception with certain customers claiming the products have caused some health issues, whilst others genuinely liked them.
Bestcompany on the other hand shows that customers genuinely enjoyed what 4life had to offer and basically confirmed that the company is deserving of its longevity in the health and wellness market.
Although this isn’t a problem that customers seem to have had with 4life’s products, the fact that the majority of them will cost over $50 and the occasional issues with shipping does mean that it may be a little irritating for some to invest in these products.
HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY THROUGH THE PRODUCT
As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, 4life being no exception.
1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales
2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals
HOW TO GET STARTED
If you want to join 4life, there’s the initial investment of a kit that you’ll need to do, which will cost you a fairly reasonable $29.95.
You can also give yourself a headstart by investing in enrollment packs along with the sign up fee which can cost anywhere from $130 – $700 although it’s hard to say because the pricing for enrolment packs aren’t actually shown on their website.
There’s no indication of a monthly autoship fee, at least not as far as I could find but, in general the starting costs aren’t bad at all, I’ve seen MLM opportunities that can cost thousands to start up and maintain for a year so 4life’s costs are very modest.
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
The compensation plan that 4life offers is very in depth and has many different ways that you can earn according to it.
But before explaining the basis of each of the payment opportunities offered, you should first understand the different ranks that members will be able to achieve when they join.
There are 7 ranks in total you can achieve as a member, they include the following :
- Associate : maintain 100 PV a month whilst recruiting and maintaining at least one Associate or preferred customer with a minimum of 100 PV order
- Builder : maintain 100 PV a month and recruit/refer and maintain at least three Associates and/or preferred customers with a minimum 100 PV order
- Diamond : maintain 100 PV a month, recruit/refer and maintain at least six Associates and/or preferred customers with a minimum 100 PV order and generate at least 3000 GV a month across your first three unilevel team levels
- Presidential Diamond : maintain 100 PV a month, recruit/refer and maintain at least eight Associates and/or preferred customers with a minimum 100 PV order, have two unilevel legs with one Diamond or higher in each and generate at least 10,000 GV a month across your first three unilevel team levels
- International Diamond : maintain 100 PV a month, recruit/refer and maintain at least eight Associates and/or preferred customers with a minimum 100 PV order, have two unilevel legs with one Presidential Diamond or higher in each and generate at least 20,000 GV a month across your first three unilevel team levels
- Gold International Diamond : maintain 100 PV a month, recruit/refer and maintain at least nine Associates and/or preferred customers with a minimum 100 PV order, have three unilevel legs with one International Diamond or higher in each (each with 50,000+ GV a month under them), maintain at least 20,000 GV a month across your first three unilevel team levels and 250,000 GV in total monthly unilevel team volume
- Platinum International Diamond : maintain 100 PV a month, recruit/refer and maintain at least nine Associates and/or preferred customers with a minimum 100 PV order, have three unilevel legs with one Gold International Diamond or higher in each, maintain at least 20,000 GV a month across your first three unilevel team levels and 1,000,000 GV in total monthly unilevel team volume.
As you can see, the whole ranking system is highly competitive and really pushes you to recruit a ton in order move further on the company’s ladder.
Of course higher rankings also mean better perks within the compensation structure. As for what the structure offers, there are 7 perks and money making opportunities which I’ll explain to you down below.
- Retail Commissions : in 4life’s case, you essentially purchase products at whole sale price and sell it at the market price. This means your profits will wary because the amount you sell a product for will depend on how much you think a customer is willing to pay for them.
- Rapid Rewards : This is a commission that’s paid depending on how much a retail customers, preferred retail customers and recruited members purchase on their first order. You’ll make a 25% commission in this way whilst up line members make certain amounts depending on on their ranks. For example Associates receive 2% if they are the immediate up line whilst Builders and Diamonds receive 2% if they are the immediate upline or 5% if they’re the third upline.
- Residual Commissions : These are commissions that you’ll earn from the unilevel structure that’s used for distributing the amount of money you’ll receive from your downline. Unilevel caps your income potential at the 3rd level. The payments for each member is determined by their rank in the company. Associates earn 2% on level 1 and 25% on level 2 whilst Builders and higher ranks earn 2% on level 1, 25% on level 2 and 5% on level 3
- Infinity Payout : This systems allows members beyond the 3 level cap. This payout uses a generational system where a Diamond or higher ranked affiliate is found in the leg. This will result in the level being capped. The payments you receive through the Infinity Payout are that Diamond ranks earn another 6% to the first upline Presidential Diamond or higher ranked members. Presidential Diamonds earn 12% on the first generation and 3% on the second and third. International Diamonds earn 12% on the first generation, 3% on the second and third and 2% on the fourth and fifth. Gold International Diamonds and Platinum International Diamonds earn 12% on the first generation, 3% on the second and third and 2% on the fourth to seventh.
- Builder Bonus : This bonus is paid on tier like basis. As long as the requirements stay retained, the builder bonus will be paid out on a monthly bonus. The builder bonus pays out $50, $200 and $800 as long as the requirements are satisfied.
- Pool Bonus : International and Gold International affiliates receive a share in 2% of 4Life’s company-wide sales volume.
Platinum International Diamond affiliates receive a share in 1% of 4Life’s company-wide sales volume. - Incentive Trips : This bonus is claimed to only be achieved by 1% of people according to 4life but, there’s no details on what trips you can qualify for through this incentive.
As you can see, there’s a fair bit of things you’ll need to learn if you were to join the company. If you want a more detailed look at the plan, you can also check out their pdf file by clicking here or watch the video below.
THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS
You Need To Be Good At Recruiting
Recruiting is crucial to succeeding within any MLM let alone 4life. The compensation plan that’s offered by 4life is quite simple but, the core premise of the system is always to recruit as many people as you can, otherwise why would you receive a 25% commission from recruiting someone new who also buys products themselves right?
Also the higher ranked members tend to get the best benefits and how exactly do you move up in rankings?
By recruiting…
So yeah… unless you’re good at recruiting or are willing to learn how to build a platform that will allow you to get targeted leads, 4life likely isn’t going to be worth pursuing.
Not Many Members Are Succeeding
According to 4life’s 2019 income disclosure statement 16% of members didn’t make a single penny with the company, whilst 10% of people made $6576 annually. Of course if you look at it realistically, only 84% that did make money which would mean that only about 8% of members made $550 a month after subtracting the 16% from the total member.
Of course this does show that 8% of all members did technically make profit but it still isn’t very good number considering the amount made isn’t anywhere near a full time income.

As for members who made a full time income, it seems that 2 – 3% managed to achieve that on average making $32988. In fact if you want to break it down further and only look at what rankings were guaranteed to make at least $1.9k – $2k a month, then you’d be looking at a percentage lower than 1.
All in all, 4life definitely doesn’t have the worst income disclosure statement I’ve seen but it does show how low the success rate is if you were to join 4life.
THE GOOD THINGS
The Company Has Been Around A While
The fact that the company at this point is around 21 years old is testament to the company’s credibility because of how most companies fail within a decade.
Although this doesn’t make the opportunity of joining 4life worthwhile, at least it does make it seem a lot more trustworthy than the more modern MLM opportunities.
Customers Like The Products
People seem to genuinely like the products with the side effects, at least from what I could find, not being all too common. Besides maybe their pricing, 4life’s offerings seem to be very solid and I don’t think you’ll find very many problems after selling them off.

IS 4LIFE A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?
The good news is if you were planning to join 4life, after looking into the MLM company, I can tell you that 4life is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam but, this does not mean there aren’t a couple reasons why you shouldn’t consider looking at other business opportunities if you can.
The use of recruitment and moving up in ranks in order to become a successful member, the expensive product prices and most importantly the low success rate are the few major reasons why I would say that 4life isn’t your best bet at finding success online.
However, there’s no denying that the company’s longevity and the positive attitude of customers who’ve actually used the products, makes it a slightly more appealing endeavour, in my eyes at least, over the majority of MLM’s out there.
This means that it’s still a decent opportunity when paired with a lead generation training platform (my #1 recommendation) although I still wouldn’t recommend not joining it because of just how low the success rate is.
MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION
Although MLM’s have created its fair share of millionaires over the years, more often than not when it comes to training newbies and teaching them how to succeed in the biz, they tend to be very lacklustre…
This is why so many people tend to fail!
Therefore, personally I would suggest you look into creating your own brand, particularly through a website, whilst ultimately getting involved in my #1 money making method online as a result.
If you’re curious as to what my #1 make money online method online is, it’s affiliate marketing!
By having your own website and essentially driving targeted traffic to it, not only can you sell whatever MLM product you want, it’s also possible to sell other products too without even purchasing stock.
By doing this not only would you make extra commission per sale but you also won’t need to worry about fulfilling orders for customers and dealing with their potential complaints!
I’ve personally made over $100 in a day as a result of implementing affiliate marketing to my online business!
Here’s a screenshot of one specific payment
Others have made way more than me but, the fact of the matter is that it works, which is why I would highly recommend you look into it.
If you’re intrigued by the potential of affiliate marketing, I’ve put together a very in-depth guide diving into what affiliate marketing is, how long it takes to make your first bit of income along with how to effectively grow your online business and maintain its income.
