Le-vel Thrive Review (Another MLM Scam?!)(Pyramid Scheme!?)

Le-vel Thrive Review (Another MLM Scam?!)(Pyramid Scheme!?)

It’s likely that you have come across Le-vel Thrive through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

Is Le-vel Thrive a scam? The reasons why you’re here is because you have want answers right so, that’s what I’m going to provide for you within this Le-vel Thrive review.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining Le-vel Thrive. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.

To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of Le-vel Thrive so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at Le-vel Thrive that will hopefully help you to make the best decision you can in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: Le-vel Thrive (LT)

OWNER/S: Paul Gravette and Jason Camper

TYPE OF PRODUCT: Health and Wellness MLM

PRICE: minimum $135 + autoship ($50)

SUMMARY:The good news is that LT is niether a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s a legitimate MLM company to join and succeed with if you’re lucky but, this doesn’t mean that I would personally recommend you join it.

The constant need to recruit in order to succeed (which is somewhat encouraged by the lack of retail pricing on the websites shop) the issues with customer service and the very low rate of success for MLM’s, which includes LT, don’t make it a very good business, in my opinion at least, to pursue because there just are better and cheaper online business opportunities that can offer a lot more than being reliant on just one company.

This doesn’t mean the company itself isn’t very successful, judging it on its numbers would suggest LT is but, the MLM sector in general is not something I would recommend you partake in especially after all the negative press it tends to have with a lot people losing friends and family over it.

Of course if you’re still sold on the idea of joining LT, I won’t stop you from doing so but, I will say that it’s not a business opportunity I would recommend.

FINAL RATING: 2/5

RECOMMENDED: NO

WHAT IS LE-VEL THRIVE?

Level thrive logo

LT is a health and wellness MLM founded in 2013 by Paul Gravette (supposedly the owner of Xyngular) and Jason Camper. At this point there just are way too many MLM companies out there, especially ones that are in the health and wellness niche so, if you were to join, the most important element for doing so would be on what spereates LT from the pack.

Being around for 6 years, the company obviously has quite a few years in the bank but, what makes it very interesting is more so the numbers that they’ve managed to generate since starting up which I’ll get back to in a second.

LT claims that they can offer performance and health through a core 3 step program. They’re able to do this using their premium-grade nutritional supplement line called Thrive. This line uses many premium proprietary ingredients, as they like to claim, such as antioxidants, vitamins, naturopathics and so on.

Now as for the crazy part, the company as a whole has actually managed to generate over $1 billion in sales over the last few years. This obviously isn’t 100% profit and it definetly does not mean you will succeed with LT (most people tend not to do all that great in MLM’s) but, it sure as hell is impressive.

LE-VEL THRIVE PRODUCT LINE

LT has 3 main products currently which includes :

Level thrive products

  • Thrive Experience
  • Thrive Pro Bars
  • Thrive Plus Line

Along with these mainline products LT also offer other packages such as the Thrive experience which is an 8-week program where you’re meant to take each of the three products within the experience every morning. This requires you to take Premium Lifestyle Capsules, a Shake Mix, and a DFT Patch with Fusion 2.0 Technology.

The Thrive experience is actually split into 4 different packages. These are Thrive M, Thrive W, Thrive Mix, and Thrive DFT.

Beyond the 4 Thrive experience packages, LT also have other less important products that are within their line. This includes the following :

  1. DFT Duo : LT’s first true weight-management product.
  2. Balance : Used to support overall health.
  3. Black Label : The newest addition to the DFT line, providing mood support and enhancers.
  4. Move : Supports healthy joints, mobility, and flexibility.
  5. Activate : Energy and clarity enhancer.
  6. Boost : A drink designed to alkalize and energize the body.
  7. Form : Improves nutritional uptake and absorption of nutritional supplements using Sequential Gel Technologies (SGT)
  8. Rest : Uses SGT to provide calming and relaxing stress management.
  9. Thrive K : A proprietary blend of premium-grade vitamins and minerals.
  10. Pure : An ultra-premium vitamin and amino acid lifestyle shot.
  11. Expand : Used to support mental and cognitive capabilities.
  12. Cafe : Coffee mocha flavored drink used as a coffee alternative.
  13. DUO:Burn : Their most effective weight-loss product.

As you can see, LT’s line isn’t necessarily huge but, it does seem to cover quite a large variety of areas within the health and wellness niche.

WHAT DO CUSTOMERS THINK LE-VEL THRIVE’S PRODUCTS?

In general it does seem like LT has a pretty mixed response from customers, on sitejabber it seems like a lot of people do like the quality of the products and have had some very positive responses however, there are a few people who claim to not have felt anything at all after trying the products out.

Level thrive good

Bbb also shows a pretty similar response with some people really enjoying the products whilst others didn’t see any benefits from them.

Level thrive good

The biggest problem with the company is actually more so do to with the customer service than anything else. The issue here is that customers are being put on autoship even when they don’t ask for it or there seem to be issues with refunds not being honoured and so on.

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH LE-VEL THRIVE?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, LT being no exception.

1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales

2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals

HOW TO GET STARTED

If you want to become a distributor for LT, there are a few steps you will need to take in order to do so. The first step is to purchase one of their starter kits, of which you have four to choose from.

These kits are Social Seller ($135), Business Builder ($265), Business Builder Plus ($499), and Meat & Dairy Free ($135). On top of this you’ll also need to look into the other fee which is a minimum autoship to maintain your membership and be eligible for all the perks of the compensation plan.

This fee will be another $50/month. To be fair to LT, if you calculate the first years fee, the minimum you’ll be required to pay,  is $735, which is actually quite modest when compared to other MLM’s but, if you’re planning to really take a shoot at being a distributor it’s likely you will need to pay for the more expensive starter kits just so you get more value for your money.

I’m pretty certain that your direct up line will try persuading to do just that nevertheless, the starting costs aren’t all that bad.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE.

LT’s compensation plan is quite robust whilst also following a unilevel structure so, if you’re serious about this opportunity and wanting to succeed in it, it’s crucial that you understand how you will be paid.

First it’s important to learn of the ranks within LT. There are 6 ranks within the company which include :

  • Promoter : be qualified and maintain 100 PV a month (active)
  • 4K VIP : maintain 100 PV a month (active), personally recruit at least 2 affiliates and have a downline generating at least 4000 GV a month (no more than 2400 GV from any one unilevel leg)
  • 12K VIP : maintain 100 PV a month (active), personally recruit at least 2 affiliates and have a downline generating at least 12,000 GV a month (no more than 7200 GV from any one unilevel leg)
  • 40K VIP : maintain 100 PV a month (active), personally recruit at least 4 affiliates and have a downline generating at least 40,000 GV a month (no more than 24,000 GV from any one unilevel leg)
  • 80K VIP : maintain 100 PV a month (active), personally recruit at least 4 affiliates and have a downline generating at least 80,000 GV a month (no more than 48,000 GV from any one unilevel leg)
  • 200K VIP : maintain 100 PV a month (active), personally recruit at least 4 affiliates and have a downline generating at least 400,000 GV a month (no more than 120,000 GV from any one unilevel leg)

As for the compensation plan’s main money making guidelines, there are 7 different ones :

  1. Retail Commissions : You’ll be able to make a 20% commission on everything you directly sell. You’ll also be paid through retail orders down to 3 levels. Level 1 will pay 12% whilst levels 2 and 3 will pay 4%.
  2. Fast Start Bonus : This bonus is paid out depending on the enrollment kit a new member in your downline purchases. You can go down to 4 levels with each of the 4 starter kits. Thrive kits earn $15 on level 1, $10 on level 2 and $5 on levels 3 and 4, Starter kits earn $30 on level 1, $20 on level 2, $10 on level 3 and $5 on level 4, Promoter Kits earn $80 on level 1, $40 on level 2, $20 on level 3 and $10 on level 4and lastly VIP Kits earn $140 on level 1, $80 on level 2, $40 on level 3 and $20 on level 4.
  3. Fast Start Bonus Match : LT has a 10% Fast Start Bonus Match on the Fast Start Bonus earnings of all personally recruited members. This increases to 20% if you’re able to recruit at least eight qualified and active downline members and are ranked 4k VIP or higher.
  4. Unilevel Commissions : Unilevel structures are basically when you can recruit infinitely horizontally whilst the vertical element of it is usually capped, in this case you’ll be eligible for payment up till the 8th level. As for the commissions you’ll be able to make, 4% from level 1 – 3 as a promoter whilst the commissions can go as high as 8% from levels 1 – 8 as 200k VIP. This commission structure increases the higher your rank is which of course does encourage you to recruit a ton.
  5. Unilevel Matching Bonus : This bonus is paid out on commissions you earn from the first level. As long as the recruits are qualified, you’ll be able to earn a 20% commissions from 4 recruited members or 40% from 8.
  6. Car Bonus : The compensation plan mentions a “VIP Auto Bonus”, where they claim to pay a $800 monthly bonus towards a white or black BMW, Mercedes, Lexus or Caddilac. However, there’s not much information on how to qualify for this bonus.
  7. Lifestyle Getaways :  if you achieve a 40K VIP, 80K VIP and 200K VIP affiliate membership ranks, LT will reward you with ‘trips to places like Las Vegas, Napa Valley, New York, Italy, Alaska & the Caribbean‘.

As you can see, the compensation structure is quite detailed so it’s possible you probably haven’t gotten everything out of it so, if you want to study it more, you can check out the plan for yourself by clicking here or instead you could watch the video embedded below.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

Recruitment Is Essential For Success

It’s apparent by the compensation plan that LT pretty much reccomends you get good at recruitment to succeed with the company. Otherwise why would there be soo many different ranks and multiple elements of the compensation plan that increase the more you recruit.

Although, I don’t really like companies that use recruitment as the primary tool for success, especially ones where recruitment is more important than sales, it’s still not the worst of things if the company doesn’t only suggest you recruit because that way they can just make money from members and not from actual retail sales, which is what should be happening.

If you’re not someone who’s already good at generating leads or aren’t willing to let learn the process, LT isn’t going to be something you’ll enjoy working for but, if you’ve got the lead generating skills in check or are willing to put a ton of time perfecting the skill, even with the essentially mandatory requirement of recruiting, it’s quite possible that you may be one of the lucky few who actually succeed.

Poor Customer Service

It appears as if a lot people are having issues with customer service and even some cases with the refund of products they don’t like.

Cutsomers have products on autoshil without even being told they’re on such a plan, the customer service don’t seem to respond and of course people have found that you won’t even be fully compensated through the refund even if you are to ask for a full refund due to a faulty product.

Level thrive bad

The shipping costs won’t be covered too so you do risk quite a lot if the product you get is poor or just isn’t for you.

I personally would put this down to the poor training on LT’s part but, that’s still not an excuse for a company that’s been around for over 5 years now and is obviously a pretty bad regarding customer service which you’ll likely have to be on the forefront for in some instances.

You’re Likely To Fail In The MLM Business Model

Although I couldn’t find a income disclosure statement, this doesn’t stop me from providing a somewhat educated guess on how things are likely to pan out anyways.

I’ve seen many income disclosure statements on this website from my daily choice, 4life, Scentsy and what I’ve found to be a very common factor among all of them is the very low success rate, or at least a very low rate of making decent profits with the systems in question.

What I’ve found is that only around 5% of members tend to make $1k/month whilst generally only 1 – 2% tend to make $2k or more per month. This rate of success is obviously very low and of course it’s something you should be aware if you were to sign up and distribute products for LT.

THE GOOD THINGS

The Sales Number For The Company Are Great

As I mentioned earlier, the fact that LT has managed to generate over $1 billion in sales in just it’s 6 years of business is very impressive and although this doesn’t mean the company itself is necessarily amazing, the sales figures do show that LT isn’t just another average health and wellness MLM trying to find its way in this very competitive market and dissappear in a couple years if it doesn’t get a solid footing in the niche.

IS LE-VEL THRIVE PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

The good news is that LT is niether a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s a legitimate MLM company to join and succeed with if you’re lucky but, this doesn’t mean that I would personally recommend you join it.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.
