Is RegenaLife A Scam?! (A Possible Pyramid Scheme!?) (REVIEW)

It’s likely that you have come across RegenaLife through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

Is RegenaLife a scam? The reasons why you’re here is because you have want answers right so, that’s what I’m going to provide for you within this RegenaLife review.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining RegenaLife. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.

To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of RegenaLife so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at RegenaLife that will hopefully help you to make the best decision you can in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: Regenalife

OWNER/S: Justin Chernalis

TYPE OF PRODUCT: health and wellness MLM

PRICE: $99 + 50PV worth of products

SUMMARY: Regenalife is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s actually a legitimate MLM company. Obviously the fact the FTC hasn’t shut it down after over 10 years is pretty telling of its standing as a legitimate MLM.

Of course there are a few negatives to it that probably don’t make it my favourite methods to make money through, whether offline or online.

The heavy emphasis on recruitment, the very overpriced products and the high chance of failure based on an educated guess after seeing 30+ statements from other businesses, makes it quite hard for me to reccomend becoming a Regenalife distributor.

FINAL RATING: 2/5

RECOMMENDED: NO

WHAT IS REGENALIFE?

Regenalife logo

Regenalife, which was initially called Regeneration USA, started up over a decade ago in 2008 and is of course yet another health and wellness based MLM.

It was founded by an individual called Justin Chernalis who within his bio credits himself as someone with “over 30 years experience in the food and nutraceutical industry”.

Now whether or not this makes Regenalife a great business to go for is another matter entirely. Justin is still the acting CEO of the company but, besides that there isn’t much else I could find on his history.

Regenalife, much like any other company out there, has a specific mission they wish to accomplish. In this case their mission is “to develop the best and cleanest products with quality as our top priority.”

And of course Regenalife is a business opportunity therefore another goal of theirs is to “help” people like you and I create an income by promoting Regenalife’s products and business opportunity to others. Whether or not this opportunity will be worth your while, I hope that you’ll be able to make a decision by the end of the review.

 REGENALIFE PRODUCT LINE

Regenaife has a ton of products within their line up and these include the likes of Raw Super Greens, Vegetarian Supplements, Organic Foods, Non-GMO Products, Gluten Free Foods, and Plant Based Minerals making a large majority of what’s in store.

Of course due to having a huge product line, there are a bunch of different categories separating the items. There are a total of 10 different main ones :

Regenalife products

  • Cardiovascular support
  • Cleanses
  • Energy
  • Immunity
  • Joint
  • Skin
  • Hair
  • Snacks
  • Fitness
  • Weight
  • Pets

Each category has a tonn of different products so I’m not gonna go over the whole list however, I will let you know that their food/breakfast bars, which claim to have anti aging properties, are their most popular items.

A 12 pack of their food bars cost $43 to purchase so each bar is far from cheap costing around. $2 per piece.

The other products within the line up aren’t cheap either but, that’s just how MLM health and wellness companies tend to price their products, around 2 – 3 times more expensive than similar competitors.

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH REGENALIFE?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, RegenaLife being no exception.

1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales

2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.

HOW TO GET STARTED

If you simply want to become a member of Regenalife, it’s actually completely free however, if you’re more interested in making money with the company through their compensation plan, you will inevitably need to spend money. You’ll need to purchase one of the Fast Start Packages :

  • $99 Fast Start Package
  • $109 Fast Start Package
  • $149 Fast Start Package
  • $249 Fast Start Package
  • $389 Fast Start Package
  • $449 Fast Start Package
  • $549 Fast Start Package

The differences between each package is just the overall potential for income. For example you’d be able to profit more through the more expensive packages over the cheaper ones because the products you’ll find within each package will ultimately be cheaper per dollar value and in turn the overall profit you turnover will be higher.

So it’s simply a matter profit margins whether or not you pick a cheaper or more expensive package. Moreover, in order to maintain your membership status you’ll also need to order a minimum of 50PV worth of items per month which I would estimate to be around $50 or so a month.

In total, a Regenalife membership appears to be a somewhat affordable business opportunity when compared to other MLM’s in the same niche (cough* Neora*cough), costing around $700 for your total first years costs if you go for the cheapest variant.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

Before discussing the compensation plan, you should know that Regenalife has around 12 different membership ranks which definitely implies that recruitment will play a huge role on how successful you’ll be in the company as opposed to just pure retail commissions.

Anyways, as for what you’ll need to do in order to qualify for each rank :

  • Active : generate 50 PV a month or more (MLM commission qualified)
  • Builder : maintain MLM commission qualification and recruit a least three MLM commission qualified affiliates
  • Manager : maintain MLM commission qualification and recruit a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates
  • Bronze : maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates and have another ten MLM commission qualified affiliates across seven unilevel team levels
  • Silver : maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates and have another twenty-five MLM commission qualified affiliates across seven unilevel team levels
  • Gold : maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates and have another fifty MLM commission qualified affiliates across seven unilevel team levels
  • Platinum : maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates and have another one hundred and twenty-five MLM commission qualified affiliates across seven unilevel team levels
  • Emerald : maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates (three must be Bronze or higher) and have another two hundred and fifty MLM commission qualified affiliates across seven unilevel team levels
  • Diamond : maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates (two must be Platinum or higher) and have another five hundred MLM commission qualified affiliates across seven unilevel team levels
  • Double Diamond : maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates (two must be Emerald or higher) and have another seven hundred and fifty MLM commission qualified affiliates across seven unilevel team levels
  • Triple Diamond : maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates and have another one thousand five hundred MLM commission qualified affiliates across seven unilevel team levels (three unilevel legs must have a Diamond or higher ranked affiliate in them)
  • Black Diamond : maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain a least five MLM commission qualified affiliates, have another two thousand five hundred MLM commission qualified affiliates across seven unilevel team levels and maintain three unilevel legs with a Diamond or higher ranked affiliate in them

As you can see, the qualifications required to reach the top level is staggeringly difficult but, that’s just how MLM’s are designed nowadays.

Moving on, the number of different ways you can earn money through Regenalife are 5 and of course I’ll be going over them below.

Retail Commissions

The retail commissions you earn per sale is the difference between the wholesale price of a product and the retail price. For example, if you bought a 12 pack of the food bars Regenalife sell at a $30 wholesale price and sold it at its retail price of $43, your profit margin would be $13.

I’m not sure if you earn commissions on online sales or even if that’s possible but, if you’re basically making direct sales your profit margin will be the difference between the wholesale and retail pricing

Residual Commissions

Regenalife uses a unilevel structure through which members can make money, primarily through recruitment. What this means is that as a member you’ll be able to recruit an infinite number of people personally (who’d fall under level 1 of the structure) whilst your direct referrals can recruit people into level 2 for you and their referrals recruit level 3 members and so on.

In this case the depth of the unilevel structure caps at the 7the level. As for how you get paid from the structure, it’s dependant on the level your referral is as well as the sales volume that is generated within each level, the numbers are as such :

  • level 1 – 20%
  • levels 2 and 3 – 10%
  • levels 4 and 5 – 5%
  • level 6 – 4%
  • level 7 – 3%

Check Match Bonus

The bonus is a percentage match that you’re paid on the first 3 levels of the unilevel structure.

  • level 1 – 15% check match
  • level 2 – 10% check match
  • level 3 – 5% check match

Of course there are requirements you’ll need to meet to qualify for this bonus and these requirements include the following elements :

  • must be MLM commission qualified
  • have recruited at least five members in your downline team who are also MLM commission qualified
  • have two retail customers who have ordered at least 15 PV in the past month and
  • have a downline volume of at least 1500 GV across level 1 of their unilevel team

Honestly speaking I can’t tell whether or not this will be easy or hard for you (I’m leaning more towards hard) but, if you’re able to meet the criteria, I can see how this part of the plan could certainly boost your potential income.

Fast Start & Infinity Coded Bonus

The fast start and infinity coded bonus is a commission that you’ll be eligible for as long as you are MLM commission qualified and have at least one retail customer ordering at least 15 PV a month.

If you meet this criteria you’ll be eligible to earn commission when a personal recruit purchases a fast start package. You’ll also be able to earn 50% in commissions from your first 2 recruits whilst the coded bonus officially starts after these 2 initial recruits have been able to pay out to their direct upline.

Rank Achievement Bonus

This area of the compensation plan pays you for achieving a specified rank as a member. As for how much you get paid :

  • Builder – $75
  • Manager – $100
  • Bronze – $150
  • Silver – $250
  • Gold – $500
  • Platinum – $1000
  • Emerald – $2000
  • Diamond – $3000
  • Double Diamond – $4000
  • Triple Diamond – $6000
  • Black Diamond – $8000

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

You Will Need To Be Good At Recruitment To Suceed

If you decide to become a Regenalife distributor, you will need to recruit a ton in order to succeed . Otherwise why would there be 12 different ranks within the company and why would the highest earning potential only be possible for the individuals who’ve recruited the most.

Technically speaking someone who has a lot of reach could make a lot of money through just direct sales however, the core of Regenalife’s business model will always be to recruit others into your team.

Normally MLM’s tend to suggest you recruit family members but, I definitely wouldn’t suggest you do that.

Why exactly do I say this, well it’s because your family members probably would only join because they want to help you and when they find out the model is draining them off money they didn’t initially want to spend, I’m pretty sure that by that point the both of your relationships would be somewhat strained.

So, in order to really make this business work you’ll need to recruit people who are genuinely interested and well…that’s a helluva lot easier said than done.

The Products They Sell Are Really Expensive For What They Are

The products within the store appear to be 2 – 3 times more expensive than their direct counterparts. If you take into account the pricing of each product as well as how overly saturated the health and wellness market is with other MLM’s like nature’s sunshine, youngevity, 4life, longrich bioscience, it really doesn’t shine a very positive light on the opportunity.

Why exactly should customers buy from Regenalife when they can just as easily make a purchase, on amazon for example, where they’ll spend a fraction of what’s needed to purchase a Regenalife branded product.

Most People Are Likely To Fail

Altough I couldn’t find an income disclosure showcasing exactly how much, on average, a distributor made within Regenalife, if I was to make an educated guess however, it’d probably be in line with not being very good.

From what I’ve seen of maybe 30 – 40 income disclosure statements, there does tend to be a particular pattern that the payments tend to follow and in general the numbers aren’t very promising. I’ve found that only 5% of members tend to make $1k/month whilst only the top 1% generate a full time income (around $2k+ monthly)

So in short, you really shouldn’t go into this business opportunity thinking you’ll make it big because, there’s a much bigger chance of you losing money than actually coming out better financially.

THE GOOD THINGS

It’s Been Around A Long Time

Having been around since 2008, Regenalife is a little over a decade old, which is highly impressive when you consider how 50 – 60% of all companies that started at the same time are now collapsed.

Justin’s ability to keep the company afloat for as long as it has is very commendable and really adds to the company’s credibility, in my opinion at least.

A Big Library Of Products

The fact that the library of products Regenalife has is so large for some may be a big issue because it shows a lack of focus or anything within these lines that a MLM with a singular or 2 – 5 poducts has. But, for a consumer, having a larger library of products is also a good thing as well, as it allows them the opportunity to see what works best for them.

Ultimately, what I’m trying to say is that consumers having more of a choice will not only give members a chance to make more sales (if for example a customer wasn’t to impressed by the first offering) and secondly it gives consumers the ability of choice, so in turn it’s more of a win win for both parties. Well at least that’s how I see it.

IS REGENALIFE A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

Regenalife is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s actually a legitimate MLM company.

Of course, there is a chance of success however, I’m inclined in reccomending a different opportunity where you wouldn’t be left in the dust if Regenalife was to collapse. My personal reccomendation basically teaches this.

It also teaches you how to generate warm leads if for some reason you were still interested in this business opportunity making it somewhat of a win-win platform to look in to.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding RegenaLife, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about RegenaLife and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments.
