Welcome to my ySense review!
It’s likely that you have come across ySense through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.
First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to purchasing or joining ySense. For all you could have known, ySense may very well be a scam and rob you of your money so this review could help you find anything peculiar about it.
To be totally transparent with you I haven’t used ySense so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you on it unless of course it’s worth investing in.
What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party review of ySense that will hopefully help you to make the correct decision in the end.
PRODUCT NAME: ySense
OWNER/S: Prodege LLC
TYPE OF PRODUCT: GPT System
PRICE: free
SUMMARY: No ySense isn’t a scam, afterall there’s a reason why the company has been in operation for over 10 years. However, it does have a couple major issues that won’t make it all that great a GPT site to join currently.
The issues with the very sporadic surveys and of course the really long qualifying questions, the high threshold of a PayPal cash out in some countries, the issues with ySense not paying customers their money right away after completing a survey and of course the really low income potential (for most) are a few reasons I’d suggest skipping over ySense.
Before its rebranding, the company was actually pretty good but, right now it’s not worth getting into. On the other hand, if you still want to learn how to make money online, check out my #1 recommendation.

WHAT IS YSENSE?

Ysense (formally known as clixsense) is a Get paid to site (GPT) owned by a company called Prodege LLC. Much like other GPT sites such as Goldenclix, usercrowd, inbox pays, in order to make money with the website users are required to do surveys as well as other miscellaneous tasks issued by ySense within your membership dashboard.
Just to give you a little backstory on the company, it initially started up in 2007 as a paid to click site (PTC). The PTC side of the company wasn’t and still isn’t an aspect of GPT sites that a lot of people liked which is why the company decided to ditch the idea in the middle of 2017.
Now moving on to August 2019, the formally named Clixsense rebranded themselves as what is now known as ySense.

HOW DOES YSENSE WORK?
Ysense works pretty much like every other GPT site out there, you do tasks and then you get paid after completing them. In this section of the review I’ll go over the different types of offers, how much you get paid and how you cash out.
First I’ll discuss the different methods for making money with ySense.
Method #1 Surveys
This is the most common offer you’ll find within any GPT site and is actually ySense’s main offer. These tend to take around 10 – 15 minutes to complete, give or a take a few minutes. Moreover, even though there are quite a lot of surveys available, you definetly will not qualify for every single one because a lot of them require a certain demographic to be met.
In turn this means that maybe your age, your gender, your nationality etc will decide whether or not you qualify. The surveys also differ in the amounts you can get paid for completion from a 50 cent upwards of a few dollars.
As ySense is already an established company in the survey space, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they provide surveys from a large variety of vendors, some of which include CINT, Innovate, Global Test Market, SaySo, YourSurveys, Sample Cube, Pure Spectrum and a few others.
Method #2 Paid Offers
You can also earn money by completing tasks that would otherwise cost you to do or may have an option where you’ll need to pay. However, normally you’ll be asked to do offers such as downloading apps, signing up for free trails, watching videos, testing out games and so on.
Offers can be a fair bit more lucrative than surveys so it’s definitely worth doing them however, not all offers will be great and of course you will need to meet the conditions set out by ySense in order to get paid out in the end. Therefore, it’s important that you follow the instructions properly so you don’t waste time and effort trying to do one of the many paid offers.
Method #3 Micro Online Tasks
You can also get paid for completing simple tasks under their Figure Eight Tasks menu. This can include doing simple tasks such as searching for something in Google, entering contests, categorising product names and a bunch of other easy micro tasks.
These micro tasks will start off paying small but, over time once you’ve built trust, you’ll start getting much better paying tasks so, this element of ySense could become decently profitable too.
On top of this, there’s also weekly contest for the Figure Eight section within ySense where the top 10 task finishers will get an extra bonus of $100. another thing worth noting is that if you finish a task worth $50, you’d get a $5 bonus on top.
This system is arguably one of the best task based systems in the GPT market and is great for trying to build up your balance provided there’s a lot of opportunity within your country.
Method #4 Referrals
The fourth way to make money with ySense is by inviting people to join using your unique invite link. ySense will pay you 20% commission of whatever the person you refer earn. If you have more than 100 referrals that have been active within the last 30 days, you will get 25%, and if you have more than 200, you will get 30% commission.
This is an area that can become very lucrative if you have a system in place where you can generate leads and in turn earn a percentage of commissions they make. Of course you won’t be taking any money from your referrals actual commission but a ySense will just pay you the percentage difference.
So let’s say one of your referral makes $5 within the month, you’d be paid $1 (at a 20% commission rate) by ySense and not from your referrals earnings
Method #5 Activity Bonus
The final way you can earn money with ySense is through a daily checklist bonus. Simply put if you manage to check off everything within this checklist. If you complete everything within the checklist as well as install the websites plugin, you will have the opportunity to increase your earnings by 16%.
HOW DO YOU GET PAID?
As for how much you can earn per survey, offer or task, that will vary a ton from a couple cents upto $50+ so, there’s definitely some potential in the site. The earnings won’t always be great because you’re not guaranteed a task in a regular basis but, ySense should allow for some good pocket change.
As for how you can cash out, as long as you meet the minimum threshold of $10 – $25 (depending on your country) you’ll be eligible to withdraw through PayPal. Do keep in mind that $10 is the minimum for a PayPal cashout, If instead you feel the threshold is too high, ySense has also introduced cashing out via gift cards where an amazon gift card starts at $5.
THE USER EXPERIENCE OF OTHER MEMBERS
On trustpilot there are complaints regarding not having enough surveys to do as well as the company not paying people for completing their surveys.

Futhermore, since rebranding from Clixsense, many people have complained about how the process for determining whether you qualify for a survey is ridiculously long and in general its very hard to qualify.

On survey police the issues with ySense are the same.

From what I’ve researched of the company, a lot of people have not liked the new rebranding and have found it to be detrimental to their earnings in every way that it could be. Before the name change a lot of individuals actually did like the opportunity, a lot but, at its current standing it’s not good at all.
THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS
The Surveys Are Very Sporadic
The surveys you receive are very sporadic meaning the earning potential as a whole won’t be all that great. Then again this is normal for GPT sites unless you’ve got a good lead generation system in place that allows you to recruit lots of people.
You’ll probably need to consider joining multiple other GPT sites to make the most out of the survey scene, although in terms of hourly rate ySense won’t be great anyways, at this point it’s more so a system that’ll generate you an extra bit of small income.
The Payout Threshold Is Quite High
The threshold for PayPal can start as high as $25 depending on where you live which will definitely be annoying but, I haven’t seen very many people saying they don’t get paid out so it’s not all bad. Of course you can also exchange your money for other gift cards but, just taking out pure cash is a certainly at a very high threshold.
The Qualiying Proces For Surveys Is Too Long
This is an issue with the newer owners and system but, it does seem like a very big problem. Users have found that sometimes the qualifying criteria can take even as long as the paid surveys themselves. This almost makes it come off as a scam although I know it isn’t.
Maybe this issue will improve over time but currently it’s definitely something you’ll not enjoy if you join.
THE GOOD THINGS
It’s Free To Join
Being free is always a positive and the lack of an invitation only program is nice too. There’s really not much else to say, ySense is pretty much a risk free kind of deal so even if it isn’t the right fit for you, it won’t be too much of problem because it is afterall free to join
It’s Been Around A While
The company has been around for 12 years which means it’s outlived the majority of companies out there which tend to collapse within a decade. So yeah, this is another minor good thing.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION
I’d suggest you check out my personal recommendation if you still want to make money online, though I’ll warn you right now, it isn’t something through which money will come easy.
It is nonetheless a great business model for the online space in my opinion
So what is this method that I’m talking about?
This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.
The reasons as to why I recommend it is because:
– expectations toward success are a lot more grounded
– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products
– it is a very scalable business
– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.
The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.
If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding ySense, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about ySense and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
