WHAT IS GREEN COMPASS GLOBAL?

Green Compass Global logo

GCG is a new CBD based MLM company, having recently started business in early 2019, and its founders are Sterling and Meredith Cook.

The owners have a background in farming and the reason for creating GCG is to not only work towards achieving financial freedom for them but, to also one day start up their own locally grown CBD/Hemp farm through which they will eventually create and sell products to customers.

Besides producing and creating high quality CBD based products themselves, they also offer individuals the ability to earn via their compensation plan, which is an element that I will be discussing further on this review.

Another thing to note is that GCG does have a lot competitors in the CBD Oils niche, some of which I’ve reviewed include kannaway, bocannaco, cbd Biocare, wellness biosciences and I’m sure there are a lot more so, seeing a new company like GCG really succeed in this market is hard to know.

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH GREEN COMPASS GLOBAL?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, GCG being no exception.

1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales

2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.

HOW TO GET STARTED

If you want to join the company and become a distributor for GCG, you will need to follow through with a couple steps. The first step would be to sign up under an already existing GCG affiliate and the second step would be to purchase one of the 2 different starter kits available.

  • Basic Business Kit ($49.95)
  • CORE Start Success Pack ($299.95)

The main difference between the two is that the CORE pack actually comes with products you can sell whilst the basic kit only comes with the basic resources to get your business running.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

There are a decent amount of elements to the compensation plan GCG offers and if you’re serious about participating in business it, it’ll be very important for you to learn it… However, the problem here is that GCG don’t actually make the compensation plan available online.

Thankfully through a boy of research I managed to find one video that does kind of go over it.

In this video the spokesperson talks about a couple of the main ways to make money with GCG which is through retail commissions and residual commission.

Retail Commissions

The retail commission is the amount of money an affiliate generates per sale. In GCG’s case it is likely to be around 20% of the retail pricing. The reason I say this is because on their website GCG utilise a preferred customer system where preferred customers are able to purchase their products for around 20% cheaper.

So, if this is the normal basic pricing for members too, the profits would then roughly equate to a 20% of the retail pricing.

Residual Commissions

These commissions are a percentage you’ll earn from the sales generated by the entirety of your team. The amount you make will depend on your rank in the company as well as the rates per level.

In most MLM’s the residual commission and the recruitment aspect of the company is where the majority of affiliates  find the most success therefore, it’s very likely that recruitment will play a huge role in an affiliates success with GCG too.

There are also likely to be various other bonuses and incentives however, as I said, I couldn’t find any official documentation to find out what they are but, do know that there are likely to be a few more, most of which will probably be linked to recruitment too.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

Recruitment Will Be Essential For Success

This is pretty normal for any MLM out there so, it isn’t all that surprising that GCG also requires you to be good a recruitment. The normal approach for most would be to bother friends and family to join (which is immediately going to be a bad start) or bothering strangers on the street.

In general there are primarily 2 different ways an individual can recruit, either through face to face or online marketing and both are quite tough to get good at, although the later is definitely the better of the two methods.

My concern for most people looking to join GCG is that they’re not good at either of these methods therefore, they would be wasting their time blindly attempting to figure out what works and what doesn’t, which ultimately leads to them losing their investment.

Which is why I wouldn’t suggest going in blind.

You should look into legitimate training that’s proven to help people generate leads and from that position it’s quite possible to succeed with GCG. However, if you’re not willing to invest in training and get better, you probably should look elsewhere because there’s a 99% chance you won’t succeed GCG.

Could Not Find The Compensation Plan Document

The hidden compensation plan is a red flag in my eyes because people who are looking to join would be going in blind, without a clue how the business works.

There could be a plethora of reasons why the plan isn’t available, maybe it still needs reworking or maybe they haven’t finished it yet but, in the end of the day this isn’t a good thing and insinuates that maybe they have something to hide, like for example hidden costs…

Most People Are  Likely To Fail

As GCG is so new, there isn’t an income disclosure statement stating how much affiliates are making just yet however, as I have seen many different income statements from other MLM’s over the years, I do have a pretty solid understanding of how good your chances of success will be.

In short, it’s not going to be great.

Generally speaking around 70 – 80% of all members tend not to even break even, making less than $300 in their first year. As for the number of people who do find success, around about 5% of members tend to generate $1k/month whilst it’s only the top 1% who are making a minimum full time income.

What this shows is that a small number of individuals may find success with the company but, the vast majority won’t so, I personally wouldn’t suggest getting involved in a fairly high risk low reward business opportunity like GCG.

THE GOOD THINGS

It’s A Fairly Affordable MLM To Join

Becoming a GCG member is actually very affordable at only $49.95 so, I can’t knock the company in trying to make the opportunity more accessible even if it isn’t necessarily the best opportunity out there.

IS GREEN COMPASS GLOBAL A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

The good news is that GCG is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s a legitimate MLM company that some may find success in but, it’s not an opportunity I’d recommend to the majority of individuals looking to start their own business.

The lack of a compensation plan which in turn shows a lack transparency is one issue I have with the company, the fact recruitment will play a huge role in succeeding with the company and lastly the really low success rates of individuals within the MLM scene are reasons why I personally can’t recommend you join GCG.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding GCG , feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about GCG and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
