Is Ds Domination A Scam Or Legit – A Pyramid Scheme in Disguise!?

It’s likely that you have come across Ds Domination through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

Is Ds Domination a scam or a pyramid scheme in disguise?

They may have told you about how awesome it’s training is and how you can make a bunch of money through e-commerce dropshipping or reselling products in ebay.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to purchasing Ds dominantion .

For all you could have know, Ds Domination may very well be a scam or something completely illegitimate like a pyramid scheme or a complete scam so taking your time to do an extra bit of research can save you from quite a bit of financial heart ache.

To be transparent with you I am not a member of Ds Domination so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you this product unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at this system that will hopefully help you make the correct decision in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: Ds Dominantion

OWNER/S: Roger Langille, Kevin Hokoana and Hitesh Juneja  ( founded in September 2013)

TYPE OF PRODUCT: MLM system that teaches its members how to make money through e-commerce i.e dropshipping, reselling etc.

PRICE: From $19.95/month all the way to $1,499

SUMMARY: Ds Domination is both a digital course and a MLM business opportunity. It’s premise is in teaching its members to use dropshipping to make some money online whilst also providing the option to promote the courses themselves to make some extra commissions. These things may seem alright on paper but when it comes to how Ds Domination does things, I have found that it really isn’t worth investing in. The training is blackhat in nature so it could affect your accounts within ebay and amazon negatively, the courses are overpriced yet provide outdated information, you need to own every course to be able to earn commissions from all the courses but worst of all you actually need to pay an extra monthly fee just so you can use their “affiliate scheme”. Most people fail too! It is for all of these reasons that I recommend that you do not invest in Ds Domination.

Ds Domination is a MLM program focused on teaching its members how to implement and use dropshipping to generate money. It’s also why the products full name is actually Dropshipping Domination.

I’m sure that quite a lot of you have heard about drop shipping considering the hype train it’s been riding on for the last couple of years but just in case you don’t know how it works allow me to refresh your memory.

Dropshipping is a business model through which you sell products from sources such as amazon or aliexpress without actually needing to purchase the product first.

Instead what happens is that once a customer purchases the product from your listing, you use the money that you receive to purchase the goods for them, ship it to them and keep the profit left over.

To put it in simple steps Dropshipping requires that:

1. Research for a product that you feel could be profitable for you from sources such as amazon, aliexpress etc.

2. Create a listing on amazon, ebay or create your own store to promote the product.

3. If someone purchases a product from your store or listing, you then purchase the product from the website you sourced it from, ship it to the customer and keep the difference.

This model has been insanely profitable for a lot of individuals in the e-commerce/ Dropshipping industry so it is a very viable business model and can be equally beneficial for you too.

However, Ds Domination has way too many major problems with it that doesn’t sit right with me and are pretty big red flags. To get to this point, it’s probably best that you actually know what you actually get if you decide to purchase Ds Domination’s course.

Ds Domination much like many Internet courses out there has multiple levels of training you can purchase, they start from the starter course that starts at 20 bucks a month and goes all the way up to $1499 in order to access the top course.

The Pro Training Course $19.95/month: Basic training on how to dropship, should help you get of your feet

– The Elite Training Course $99.95/month: This module provide you with a more advanced training on dropshipping

– Unleashed Training Package $249 one time fee: You will be taught how to use ecommerce tools to expand your business

– Monopoly Training Package $499 one time fee: This module will aim to teach you about the best selling items and how you can maximise your profits

– Genesis Training Package $1499 one time fee: This training will teach you how to become a distributor / manufacturer for amazon/ebay. Unlike normal dropshipping where you will need to deal with the middle man i.e. Sourcing products from alibaba or amazon, this course will teach to sell “your own products” and make money off of them on a fulfillment scheme.

As you can see the price discrepancies between the cheapest product and the most expensive ones are quite huge, and I’m sure that some of the information provided is pretty solid info too but there are still some problems with Ds Dominantion.

I’ll get into more detail on the negatives but first let me explain why and how Ds Domination is an MLM business.

The fact it has a compensation structure of it’s own already gives you a little heads up on why it’s a MLM business. As has already been stated Ds Domination has multiple training packages.

So in order to help its members make extra money they allow them to make commissions for every sale that is generated, kind of like an affiliate program.

However unlike an affiliate program where you will get paid no matter if you own the product or not ( some programs may have a decreased commission for affiliates who don’t own the program), Ds Domination does things a little differently.

They only pay out commissions for the products that you have bought so for example if you own the elite membership package and one of your referral purchased one of the packages you didnt own, you wouldn’t make a single penny from that sale.

Instead they have a downline and upline structure to how they payout from referrals, it’s kind of a similar structure to 25 dollar 1up another product that I’ve reviewed before.

So how does this commission structure work?

The commission you recieve for each sale from a referral is sperated into different levels.

– 1st Referrals: These are referrals that you have personally recruited through your own sign up links. In this level you will receive a 50% commission for every purchase your first referrals make.

Assuming that you have purcahsed all of the packages and are in turn able to receive commissions on every product you make a sale on, if your referral were to buy the genesis package you would make just under $750 for that sale.

– 2nd level referrals: These is the second person who is in your downline in the structure, basically it’s your first referrals first referral. I know it’s a little confusing but I assure you it’s pretty straightforward.

It’s basically the second person in your downline i.e. 2nd level referrals. From these referral you will only make 10% in commissions.

– 3rd level referrals: From these referrals you will only make 5% in commission for every sale generated.

– 4th level referrals : You’ll geneeate 3% in commission for every sale made from this level referral

– 5th level referrals : Only 2% in commission can be made per sale for this level

– 6th – 10th level referral : 1%  in commissions for every sale referrals at this level make.

As you can see, there is a pretty comprehensive downline commission structure found in Ds Domination. Along with this downline structure there is also an upline element to it too.

If you remember earlier, I stated that if you don’t actually own a package and one of your referrals buys it, the commission that were meant to be sent to you will instead be sent to the person who signed you up or someone above them who actually owns the product your refferal bought.

Although MLM’s can be legit and have made a tons of people a bunch of money, these network marketing structures always seem to have a wierdness and a lack of integrity to them.

That’s just me I guess, it doesn’t mean that there hasnt been any legitimate and well functioning MLM’s out there but I digress.

If you want a little bit more info on the compensation plan check this video out.

There are two ways through which Ds Domination aims to help you make money through.

The first method is through the Dropshipping model. This is a legitimate method that has undoubtedly made quite a few people out there very rich so I don’t doubt that Ds Domination isn’t teaching a viable business option.

However, the training it shows you are somewhat Blackhat and do go against some important terms and conditions found within the major source (Amazon) it recommends you to source products to dropship from.

The second method is through promoting their products through the MLM business structure. I’ve already discussed the compensation structure but I’ll go over briefly how you you may be able to profit from Ds Domination.

As this is a MLM business model you will need to attempt to recruit a lot of people. By continously recruiting with your refferal also doing the same thing, eventually you should hope to start making money from commissions from your downlines.

Despite all this “opportunity” there is undoubtedly a whole plethora of things wrong with the Ds Domination system.

Here’s what they are…

The Startup Costs To Maximise Profits With The Compensation Structure

The startup cost can be very very expensive if you’re thinking about maximising the profits you can make with ds Domination.

If you were to purchase everything you would need to spend

Boy that’s a pretty expensive fee and that’s not including the monthly reoccurring fees you’ll need pay on top to keep everything running.

On top of that there is no refund policy which, for those of you who actually buy a course from Ds Domination and don’t like it, are out of luck.

You can fight if you want but it’s really unlikely you’ll win.

Fake Affiliate Program

yeah you read that right, you actually need to spend another $9.95 a month just so you can promote their products. The compensation structure not only costs a whole lot of money to start, just to even think about promoting the courses you also need to pay another recurrent fee.

I know for a fact that in a legitimate affiliate marketing businesses like the one I run you don’t need to pay for a product to actually promote through their affiliate program.

Yes you will need to be accepted for the programs but never do you have to pay.

So that is why I believe this is pretty cheap move from Ds Domination and something I definitely do not like about the way this company does things.

The Training Is Invalid And Outdated

The training model it teaches you regarding dropshipping amazon products on eBay is kind of outdated and not to mention against amazon’s terms and conditions (I’ll get back to this in a bit)

What Ds Domination teaches is to basically copy and paste the information from amazon onto eBay and once someone purchases the product you’re trying to sell, you simply go back on amazon, order it and ship it to your customer.

Not only that, considering the courses on Ds Domination have been out for a while the training isn’t very current so a lot of the things practiced through this system may very well be invalid.

On the contrary the genesis package actually discusses a more legitimate business model. It entails using amazon FBA  to sell your own manufactured products on amazon, it’s a business model that I do like but it’s probably more costly to start up thsn actually paying Ds Dominations monthly fees.

Even though I like the idea behind the genesis package, it doesn’t excuse the fact that it’s still too expensive.

What Is Being Taught Is Going Against Amazon’s Terms And Conditions

Now for the big no no.

The entire training actually goes against amazon’s terms and conditions

Firstly amazon is completely against others copying descriptions and information off of their website, Ds Dominations model revolves around this so that’s one major red flag.

Secondly using amazon prime to deliver the product to your customer is also against terms and services.

If using blackhat methods to make money online bothers you, you should probably learn how to dropship from another source that allows you to copy and paste descriptions and images to your shops in ebay.

Most People Fail

This shouldn’t come as a suprise but most people who are members of MLM programs, fail!

You may not like it but that’s just how it is. Of course there are the odd few who are making a decent living through Ds Domination but for the rest of us, we’d be lucky managing to cover even the monthly fees.

Ds Dominations earnings disclosure states that most individuals make $500-$2000 which breaks down to just $150 for the higher average and just over $40 a month for the lower amounts.

This shows that there honestly isn’t much money in promoting Ds Dominations MLM system.

DropShipping Is A Legitimate Business Model

There aren’t too many things I’ve discovered through my research that I like about Ds Domination however, I can’t disagree with the fact that this method of making money online, dropshipping is a legitimate path you could take to make money.

Besides this point I also don’t think the training is very good, so as an alternative I recommend you check out Shopify’s ultimate beginners guide on dropshipping to understand how it works in the present.

The good news is that Ds Domination is not a pyramid scheme nor a scam however, there are many reasons as to why you should not purchase it.

The biggest reason as to why is because the information is outdated and the second biggest reason is that you actually need to pay a monthly fee to promote their products through an “affiliate scheme”.

Of course you can’t forget the startup cost which can set you back a couple grand if you go all in.

Honestly, unless you like taking major risks and get a rush off of buying into unreliable programs I would suggest that you give Ds Domination a pass.

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.
