SUMMARY: No, CG is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s a legitimate MLM company with a fairly competent CEO and in a ever growing market however, it’s still not an opportunity I’d recommend you join.
The huge emphasis on recruitment, which is very prevalent in the company’s plan and the really low success rates of MLM’s as a whole means that I can’t personally suggest you join CG.

WHAT IS CRUSH GLOBAL?

CG is a MLM company that used to sell rewards based membership but now has completely revamped itself into a company that primarily focuses on health, wellness and CBD based products. The company was founded in the fall of 2016 by a very experienced entrepreneur, Josh Henderson.
This guy has worked in various different companies from Lightyear network solutions (later changes its name to Lightyear Communications), which was the MLM counterpart to Lightyear wireless, to Unidial Communications. John was actually the CEO of Lightyear communications which was founded in 1997 however, in 2002 the company had to declare bankruptcy.
In 2003 the assets of Lightyear Communications were transferred to its parent company, Lightyear Wireless.
He later founded Unidial Communications in 2013 which acted much like the successor of Lightyear Communications but, by 2015 he sold the institution to Birch Communications for $22 million.
As for CG, it is located in Kentucky, where it still continues to reside today. CG used to sell platinum and gold membership for discounts, travel rewards and for other services (mind you these memberships could cost well over $1.5k for your first active year).
However, in Q3 of 2018 Josh decided to completely change his plans and transformed CG into a CBD and health based company instead.

CRUSH GLOBAL PRODUCTS
As for what they sell now, it’s mostly supplements where CG have the goal of selling products that aim to “be the most potent natural supplements in the world.”
Now there’s nothing genuinely backing these claims but, I guess it’s worth letting you know this is CG’s aim.
As for the products CG are selling now, it does include a pretty large number of items so I won’t be covering them all nevertheless, a few of their more popular products include :

- Ryse – “a great tasting nutritious meal replacement shake with an abundance of all-natural ingredients”, retails at $74.99 for a box of 10 shake sachets
- Lyfe – a hemp extract that “contains different cannabinoids, including CBD”, retails at $74.99 a bottle for 500 mg variety or $94.99 a bottle for 750 mg
- Byrn – “a maximum strength product designed for extreme fat loss, energy and focus that lasts”, retails at $37.49 for a bottle of 20 capsules
- Zyng – “a healthy and great tasting fizzy energy drink”, retails at $49.99 for a box of ten single-serve sticks
- Clymb – a “proprietary blend of ten adaptogenic plant extracts” that provides “support to the immune system, reducing stress, and improving endurance & stamina”, retails at $49.99 for a 2 fl. oz. bottle

HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH CRUSH GLOBAL?
As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, CG being no exception.
1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales
2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.
HOW TO GET STARTED
If you want to join CG, it starts of as free but, for the best start as an affiliate, you probably will need to buy one of their starter kits, which can be cost upto $599.
The different packs offered, include the following :
- 10 Day Jump Start Kit, Lyfe & Shyne Pack and Ryse & Shyne Pack – $89
- Life & Lyte Pack, Lyte Launcher Pack, Lyfe Launcher Pack – $119
- Crush Launch Pack – $189
- 3 Lyfe 2 Lyte Pack and Lyte Builder Pack, Lyfe Builder Pack – $299
- 6 Lyfe 5 Lyte Pack, Lyte Crusher Pack and Lyte Crusher Pack – $599
The main differences between the packages I could find after some research is simply that the more expensive packs will result in a larger profit margin over the others, provided an affiliate is able to sell every product at their intended retail pricing.
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
As well as the change in CG’s business direction, their entire compensation plan had a revamp too. In this section I’ll briefly be going over the plan so that you have a rough idea on how to make money with them.
Do note that this is a document that you should definitely learn if you’re serious about joining this company.
Firstly I want to outline all of the ranks within CG and the criteria to qualify for them :
- C50PV – generate and maintain 50 PV a month
- C1K – generate and maintain at least 100 PV and 1000 GV a month (max 1000 GV from any one unilevel leg) and recruit and maintain at least two C50PV ranked affiliates
- C5K – maintain 100 PV and generate at least 5000 GV a month (max 2500 GV from any one unilevel leg) and maintain at least two C50PV ranked affiliates
- C15K – generate and maintain at least 150 PV and 15,000 GV a month (max 7500 GV from any one unilevel leg) and maintain at least two C50PV ranked affiliates
- C25K – maintain 150 PV and generate at least 25,000 GV a month (max 12,000 GV from any one unilevel leg) and recruit and maintain at least four C50PV ranked affiliates
- C50K – generate and maintain 200 PV and 50,000 GV a month (max 25,000 GV from any one unilevel leg) and maintain at least four C50PV ranked affiliates
- C100K – maintain 200 PV and generate at least 100,000 GV a month (max 50,000 GV from any one unilevel leg) and maintain at least four C50PV ranked affiliates
- C250K – maintain 200 PV and generate at least 250,000 GV a month (max 125,000 GV from any one unilevel leg) and maintain at least four C50PV ranked affiliates
- C500K – maintain 200 PV and generate at least 500,000 GV a month (max 250,000 GV from any one unilevel leg) and maintain at least four C50PV ranked affiliates
In total there are 9 affiliate ranks within CG, which is quite a lot and does imply that a lot of recruitment will be required to succeed with the company but, it’s also not the largest number of ranks I’ve seen a MLM company have so, atleast it’s not insanely convoluted.
Retail Commission
This is a commission you’ll earn when ever you personally sell one of CG”s products. The commission an individual will make per sale is 25%.
Recruitment Commissions
Every time you recruit an individual who purchases one of CG’s starter kits, you’ll be rewarded a commission. The commissions here also follow a residual commission structure where you’ll even be rewarded from your personal recruits first recruits (level 2), from individuals within level 3 of your downline and level 4 :
- $59.99 enrollment pack generates a $20 commission for the recruiting affiliate
- $74.99 enrollment pack generates a $35 commission for the recruiting affiliate
- $89 enrollment pack generates a $15 commission for the recruiting affiliate, $10 on level 2 and $5 on levels 3 and 4
- $119 enrollment pack generates a $20 commission for the recruiting affiliate, $10 on levels 2 and 3 and $5 on level 4
- $299 enrollment pack generates a $60 commission for the recruiting affiliate, $30 on level 2, $15 on level 3 and $10 on level 4
- $599 enrollment pack generates a $100 commission for the recruiting affiliate, $60 on level 2, $30 on level 3 and $20 on level 4
Residual Commissions
CG utilises a unilevel structure to determine how many individuals an affiliate will be able to earn commissions from. This means that horizontally an affiliate will be able to recruit an infinite number of people but in the vertical sense, the levels will be capped. In this case the earning potential is capped at the 8th level.
The residual commission in this case are paid as a percentage of the sales volume generated across the eight unilevel team levels, which is determined by the rank of an individual :
- C50PV and C1K affiliates earn 5% on level 1 and to 3
- C5K and C15K affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 4
- C25K and C50K affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 5
- C100K affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 5 and 3% on level 6
- C250K affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 5, 3% on level 6 and 2% on level 7
- C500K affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 5, 3% on level 6, 2% on level 7 and 1% on level 8
Various Other Bonuses
The 3 methods mentioned above are going to be the primary ways to make money with CG but, there are various other ways to make money with the company too. This includes a matching bonus on recruitment and residual commission, a generation bonus, a rank achievement bonus and the incentive of a car bonus.
I won’t be covering them here as they’re not necessary to learn right now but, if you still want to check them out, click here.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS
Recruitment Seems To Be The Key To Success Here
A large portion of the compensation plan seems to focus on recruitment to earn the majority of money that’s achievable via CG.
From the recruitment commissions, the matching bonuses, residual commissions and so on. Therefore, in order to excel with the company and make decent money with CG, it does seem like an affiliate will need to be good at recruitment or at the very least, invest in training to help them get better at recruitment, otherwise there’s a very small chance that they’ll find success.
Then again this is primarily how all MLM based companies are so, if you’re looking at CG and already know this, just take this as you will however, if you’re new to MLM businesses, if you’re not up for the recruitment aspect of this business, I highly suggest looking past CG.
Most People Will Fail
MLM’s tend to have a very high failure rate and I don’t say this just for the sake of it, I’ve actually seen many many income disclosure statements from other MLM’s such as Scentsy, aim global, Reliv, PlanNet marketing and well, the trend suggests that the success rate will be abysmal low for CG too.
Generally speaking, only around 5% of members will make a decent income of around $1k/month whilst only the top 1% will make full time income, in fact sometimes it’s even less than 1% and more like 0.5%.
The point is that most people are likely to fail with CG so, you should take that into account before even thinking about joining.

THE GOOD THINGS
CG Is In A Growing Market
The CBD market is currently worth $531 million and is projected to be worth $22 billion in 3 or so years from now. It just goes to show how much potential this market has so, I guess this is kind of a good thing.

IS CRUSH GLOBAL A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?
No, CG is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s a legitimate MLM company with a fairly competent CEO and in a ever growing market however, it’s still not an opportunity I’d recommend you join.
The huge emphasis on recruitment, which is very prevalent in the company’s plan and the really low success rates of MLM’s as a whole means that I can’t personally suggest you join CG.
Of course, in the end of the day the decision is yours and you can do whatever you want but, do note that MLM’s generally have resulted in the majority of individuals losing money rather than making anything.
MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION
I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).
Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.
This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.
The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because
– there is no need to recruit constantly
– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products
– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.
The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.
If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding CG, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about CG and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
