Knowledge Panel Review (A Survey Scam Or Worth It?)

Welcome to my Knowledge Panel review!

It’s likely that you have come across Knowledge Panel through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to purchasing or joining Knowledge Panel. For all you could have known, Knowledge Panel may very well be a scam and rob you of your money so this review could help you find anything peculiar about it.

To be totally transparent with you I haven’t used Knowledge Panel so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you on it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party review of Knowledge Panel that will hopefully help you to make the correct decision in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: Knowledge Panel (KP)

OWNER/S: GfK Custom Research North America

TYPE OF PRODUCT: GPT System

PRICE: free but invitation only

SUMMARY:No KP is not a scam, its a legitimate GPT site however, there are a few things about it that make it a bit of pain to join and partake in.

The biggest problem is the invitation only issue, if you can’t get an invitation then KP is pretty much useless. It only being available in the US is another problem and of course the limited income potential is another thing that may sway you from joining.

I do like that it does provide pretty consistent surveys if you do happen to join and its 20 year lifespan also adds a fair bit of credibility to the system.

All in all it’s not a bad GPT system If you happen to join but, it’s definitely something you should pair with multiple other survey sites like maybe with swagbucks and inboxdollars.

FINAL RATING: 3.5/5

RECOMMENDED: Yes if you’re invited

WHAT IS KNOWLEDGE PANEL?

Knowledge panel logo

KP is a GPT system created by 2 Stanford University Professors all the way back in 1999. The system is now owned and run by a company called GfK Custom Research North America. KP is more or less a survey website where you can share your opinions, using surveys, on important global issues such as on health care, current affairs, regarding new products and so on.

So yeah, the system is very much like any other similar GPT sites like usercrowd or Surveys2Cash etc. You essentially make money (generally very little money) for completing surveys you’ve been that you find on your dashboard.

The company is actually very large, having multiple different offices in over 100 countries and of course the surveys they produce are from fortune 500 companies so, it would seem the system is at least a little trusted however, this doesn’t mean it’s a great GPT system to join.

HOW DOES KNOWLEDGE PANEL WORK?

KP works like any other legit survey website, all you need to do is complete a survey that you’ve qualified for, whether it be regarding entertainment, on a new product etc. These surveys then generally require 15 minutes of your time to complete and after you’ve completed it you’ll be rewarded some points or money for your efforts.

So it’s very a basic and simple structure however, it’s actually not that easy to join KP. The truth is that it’s currently an invitation only system. In order to join you need a specific 6 digit code.

I know that it’s kind of a bummer but, this does give a lot more legitimacy to KP ovwr other survey sites. Another good thing is that the system allows for a pretty vast demographic of people to join, starting at 13 and going up from there.

HOW DO YOU QUALIFY FOR A REWARD?

If you’re lucky enough to be invited to join KP, the first thing you’ll be given is an initial sign up survey which when completed will give you $10. Afterwards, for every other survey you complete, you’ll be rewarded 1000 points for your effort. KP only do surveys so you got to like doing them if you ever get the opportunity to join.

In terms of cash value, these survey are worth $1, which for 15 minutes of work isn’t great but, for a free opportunity it isn’t all that bad either.

Besides exchanging the points for cash you can also choose to exchange them for a number of other rewards within their market place.

Lastly you can also gamble the points you get on their prize wheel, which is something I wouldn’t recommend you do but, in the end of the day it’s up to you.

HOW MUCH MONEY CAN YOU MAKE WITH KNOWLEDGE PANEL?

In my research I found that KP tend to only provide around 1 survey a week and as you know 1 survey is equivalent to 1000 points which is also equal to $1. Going off of these numbers, if you include the $10 starter survey and weekly surveys on top for around a 12 month period,

If you complete every survey given, theoretically you should come out with $62 in your first year and around $50 for the following years.

Also keep in mind that the payment threshold is at $25, which will take around half a year to reach if the surverys hit your account on a weekly basis. This definetly is among the high side but, I guess that’s just something you’ll have to deal with.

This isn’t necessarily horrible if you enjoy doing surveys and would do them despite the payment threshold however, if you’re thinking you can turn this into a very solid way to make money online, yeah… that’s unlikely to happen.

Even then, if the income is consistent enough, I’d say KP isn’t too bad a system for a small bit of pocket change.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

Invitation Only

One annoying thing about the company is that it is invitation only so, even if you’re really interested in joining the company, unfortunately only people who have expressly been invited via email and received a specific 6 digit code can do so.

Only Available In USA

It’s only available in USA, so if you’re not a in the USA or if you don’t use a VPN that tricks the system into thinking you are from there, then KP isn’t going to be useful to you at all.

Limited Money Potential

The income potential on its own is obviously very limited and the fact that the threshold is also high doesn’t make it the best way to make money online, that’s for sure.

Of course this does not mean it’s a bad survey website, it simply means you probably need to add a few GPT systems into your arsenal to maybe make a decent income through sites like KP.

On top of the limited income potential, the payout thresholds is also really high at $25. This isn’t necessarily the worst thing in the world but the fact it is $25 to cash out for the first time isn’t all that great in my opinion and I’m sure you’ll agree with me in that regard.

THE GOOD THINGS

They Provide Consistent Surveys

The fact KP provide you with consistent weekly surveys is nice because a large majority of the websites out they that do the same thing only provide you with very sporadic surveys.

In fact they generally want you to do the paid offers or free trials because in that way they can make a lot more money from you as companies tend to pay quite a lot for lead generation.

Of course KP only do surveys but, they’re consistent so that’s a good thing in my books.

It’s Been Around A Long Time

The KP system was founded all the way back in 1999 making it 20 years. This is massive achievement when you take into account most systems or companies that were founded way back then have either collapsed or rebranded themselves into something completely different.

The 20 year lifespan definetly adds a fair bit of credibility to KP

Or, you could look into learning a very profitable online money making method such as affiliate marketing taught through my #1 reccomendation instead.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I’d suggest you check out my personal recommendation if you still want to make money online, though I’ll warn you right now, it isn’t something through which money will come easy.

It is nonetheless a great business model for the online space in my opinion

So what is this method that I’m talking about?

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it is because:

– expectations toward success are a lot more grounded

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– it is a very scalable business

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding KP, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about KP and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
