Wholesale Academy Review By Larry Lubarsky (Scam Or Legit!?)

Welcome to my Wholesale Academy review!

It’s likely that you have come across Wholesale Academy through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to purchasing or joining Wholesale Academy. For all you could have known, Wholesale Academy may very well be a scam and rob you of your money so this review could help you find anything peculiar about it.

To be totally transparent with you I haven’t used Wholesale Academy so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you on it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party review of Wholesale Academy that will hopefully help you to make the correct decision in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: Wholesale Academy (WA)

OWNER/S: Larry Lubarsky

TYPE OF PRODUCT: Amazon FBA course

PRICE: one time fee of $1997 or 4 x $697

SUMMARY: No Wholesale Academy isn’t a scam, it appears to be a very solid course by a very experienced and knowledgeable individual within the FBA scene and definitely could be worth learning from, if there are spots available and if you’re really willing to spend the money.

However, if you’re not willing to spend upwards of $2k for the course or even $2k+ on the product sourcing and advertising costs, I’d suggest looking into affiliate marketing instead as it has a much lower barrier to entry costing literally a fraction of the course to start up and potentially produce a successful online business, all that with little to no overhead.

If on the other hand you still want to go down the Amazon FBA route, Proven Amazon Course is also a great course to look into that’ll cost less than a third of WA’s full price and a course that you should be able to purchase whenever you please as it doesn’t follow the limited spaces situation.

FINAL RATING: 3.5/5

RECOMMENDED: Not really

WHAT IS WHOLESALE ACADEMY?

Wholesale academy logo

Wholesale Academy is an Amazon FBA course where you’ll, in simple terms, be taught how to research for profitable products, where you should purchase your products from, advertising and everything in between.

Amazon FBA only really started getting popular, in the earlier 2010’s when Amazon itself was growing exponentially. In the exponential growth phase many people started making very good money with Amazon and I assume Larry Lubarsky was one of them.

Wholesale academy Larry Lubarsky YouTube

Larry actually has a moderately large YouTube channel with over 20k subscribers around the topic of amazon wholesale. The channel goes by the name “watch me amazon* if you don’t know who the guy is, He’s been around in the YouTube scene since early 2017 whilst he’s been working with Amazon since 2014.

As for Larry’s success story, within 3 and half years and an investment of $50k, he claims to have scaled that initial investment into $10 million sales.

Of course not all of the sales are profit but, even if he only managed to profit 5 – 10% out of the sales generated, he’d still will have made 10 to 20 times his initial investment, which is still a crazy amount of profit so, I’d assume the guy knows what he’s doing.

For almost 2 years Larry didn’t actually have a course to sell to his audience, he just created a lot of free and actionable content on his YouTube channel attempting to grow his presence however, it was only in late 2019 when he finally decided to come out with his own Amazon FBA course.

One reason why you and many other like yourself would genuinely be interested in Larry’s course is because of the free valuable content that he has been providing on his channel for a couple years, advice that if you choose to follow through with, would actually be able to guide you in the right direction.

Essentially, he doesn’t seem to hold back with his free content however, if you want a more streamlined and straight to the point training on what you should do and how you should do it, a course is generally the better way to go.

This is because within the course you’ll be given access to 100% of Larry’s tactics and not just 80% of what’s needed whilst trying to figure out the other 20% on your own (preferably from a reputable person).

That’s why if you’re interested in WA, I’ll breakdown the core components of what’s found within it so you can make a more informed decision on whether or not it’s worth the price of admission.

HOW DOES WHOLESALE ACADEMY WORK?

First and foremost you should know that the course doesn’t delve into amazon private labelling, which generally has a minimum of 3 month processing period and usually is what people would set up when selling branded products.

It’s because of this 3 month waiting period that Larry pushes wholesale FBA instead but, this doesn’t mean you couldn’t eventually get into Amazon private label down the line.

Another thing worth noting is that Larry does want his customers to have the best experience with his course therefore, the spaces within WA are generally very limited so you’d have be really on the ball and follow him in order to know when more spaces will open up again.

Anyways, as for what you’ll find within the course, there is quite a lot of information within it so I’ll break them down for you here.

In simple bullet points, the amount of content offered within WA is very large, we’re talking ;

  • 50+ video lessons spread 8 core modules
  • Over 40 hours hours of training
  • Supplier Email templates and phone scripts
  • Live Group Coaching Calls with me
  • Business Workflows + Checklists

Considering the course was likely in the works for the last year or so, it makes sense that Larry would go all out and try to provide the best training possible.

What Will You Find Within The 8 Modules?

The whole course is split into 8 parts, with each part playing a big role on whether or not you’ll find success with WA.

Module 1 – Orientation

This module simply gives buyers an overview of what they’ll find within the course and the mindset they should develop to help in achieving the best results.

Module 2 – Business Model

This module cover how the Amazon business works and is split into 4 different videos to help you understand the biz if you don’t know already. You’ll be taught how the Amazon marketplace works, how the wholesale business model works and how to set your business up for the best chance of success.

Module – 3 Finding Suppliers

This module covers over 9 hours of content on how you should go about finding the right suppliers to generate the best profits margins.

The training you’ll find within this module include videos on category filtering, list sourcing, software filtering, targeting the competition, using trade show lists to find suppliers.

Finding a good supplier is essential for sustaining a profitable FBA business so it make sense that Larry has a lot of coverage on finding a good supplier and building connections with them.

Module 4 – Buying Products

After you’ve found a good supplier, the next thing you’d need to look into is sourcing the products, researching and everything else in between associated with buying products that will actually sell.

This section covers a lot of information from how to use Jungle scout to do research, tactical arbitrage, how to order your first products, negotiating with your supplier and generally a lot of tips and hacks to help you with getting the best deals you can.

The supplier and sourcing of the products are very crucial and will either make or break your success with WA.

But, as is the case with most things in the ecom space, there’s a good chance your first few product launches may not be up to par therefore, you’d probably find yourself coming back to this module quite a bit until you finally find a great and profitable product.

Module 5 – Shipping And Logistics

This module just goes in depth on the topics of handling, labeling and shipping products back and forth from amazon, receiving inventory and so on.

When it comes to operating FBA, this part is probably the more annoying aspects to learn but here, it’s nicely placed into one module so at the very least you should be able to grasp the shipping and logistics pretty nicely.

Module 6 – Managing Your Inventory

This module covers how you should effectively manage inventory, as in understanding how and when to reorder more inventory, how to manage your money and how to keep track of your accounting within Amazon.

This module has 7 different elements to it which will all be critical to learn if you really want to level up your business and outdo your competitors.

Module 7 – Account Health

Module 7 will cover everything you should do to maintain a helathy account and not get penalised by Amazon.

You’ll be taught how to avoid and deal with issues, complaints, IP violations, account suspensions, whilst also using systems to run your business the right way.

Module 8 – Growing Your Business

The final module will just tell you the strategies you should take to further amplify your business proceedings and earnings although for the most part, this module is more of a graduation from the course itself

Other Bonuses

Along with the course, you’ll gain access to the following resources

  • Live Coaching
  • Special Guest Appearances From Other Successful FBA Marketers
  • Amazon UK/EU Course If You Live In These Regions
  • Access To Private Facebook Group
  • Custom Amazon Software
  • A Short Course Called Amazon Bundle 101

All in all, there is a lot of useful and actionable content to be found within WA and if you do decide to invest in it, at least in the amount of content provided, you won’t be disappointed.

HOW MUCH DOES WHOLESALE ACADEMY COST?

Wholesale Academy is far from a cheap course but, also when it’s fully bought everything inside will be yours to keep and you won’t need to maintain a monthly membership fee, unlike so many other training courses

That being said because it is so expensive, there are 2 ways you can go about buying it. The first way is by investing a one time fee of $1997.

The second way is through 4 payments of $697. Of course if you simply go the one time fee route you’d save $791 so that’s the route most people should take if they decide to invest in Wholesale Academy but, if paying a lump so of around $2k is too much of burden, the second method is always an option.

WHO IS WHOLESALE ACADEMY FOR?

WA is a course designed for beginner to even expert level Amazon FBA sellers who want to essentially pick Larry’s brain and understand the process behind how he sets up a profitable, up to 8 Figure, Amazon FBA business and are willing to invest quite a lot of money in training to do so.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

Limited Spaces

The course only seems to open up sporadically which means that at the time of reading this review there’s a good chance it might not be possible to purchase the course.

In my opinion this is both a good and bad thing because even though most people won’t be able to gain access, the ones who are able to will likely get very good support on the other side, meaning Larry at the very least wants to help all the newbies more efficiently than other courses that have unlimited access.

Really Expensive!

Firstly, the course itself is already very expensive at the very least setting individuals back $1997 but, on top of this, purchasing stock, investing in ads and all of the fees in between such as buying a poor product, refunds and so on, you could easily require at least $5k – $10k in order to even launch your first successful product let alone become successful as an Amazon seller.

Keep in mind that Larry himself invested $50k initially and yes he did do exceptionally well but, it’s definitely a lot harder to become successful in the Amazon wholesale space now so, if you’re not up for potentially losing a ton of money in the process of finding a good product, I’d suggest you think twice before diving into WA or any other FBA course for that matter.

That being said, this isn’t calling the course out as being bad, it’s just a major burden you’ll need to take into account before investing in the Amazon FBA business model.

THE GOOD THINGS

Larry Seems Like A Trustworthy Individual

Larry is someone who’s worked within the industry for well over 5 years going on 6 so, he’s got a lot of experience in this field and of course his YouTube channel also adds a bit more credibility to the guy as he’s actually open about who he is.

So, this does, in my opinion at least, give Larry some trust points and a much better person to learn from over other amazon gurus.

Really In-depth Course

The course has a ton of information on starting up your own FBA business along with some great community features in the live coaching and the Facebook group to interact with others in the same boat as you.

Yes, the business model itself is very expensive and I would suggest looking into affiliate marketing if you’d rather not spend thousands to succeed but for a couple thousand bucks, I can’t really say that Larry is trying to sell you a poor course.

Then again there are amazon training courses such as Proven amazon course which cost a quarter of what WA is worth yet also provide solid training but, when it comes to it you’ll simply need to weigh up your options.

If you’re a fan of Larry and you want to support the guy, of course you could buy his course but, if you want to save a bit of money, Proven amazon course or even affiliate marketing may be a better path for you to take.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I’d suggest you check out my personal recommendation if you still want to make money online, though I’ll warn you right now, it isn’t something through which money will come easy.

It is nonetheless a great business model for the online space in my opinion

So what is this method that I’m talking about?

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it is because:

– expectations toward success are a lot more grounded

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– it is a very scalable business

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding WA, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about WA and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
