Firstly, for the amount of content offered along with the lack of the content being organised, it is in my opinion way too expensive, your only taught how to do paid advertising which isn’t a bad thing but it’ll also be very expensive to invest in this method too and lastly the lack of any one on one coaching is another issue I have.
In my opinion AAS is only something that a more advanced affiliate marketer should invest if they want to learn how to use paid advertising but more particularly, if they want to learn how Duston goes doing this form of advertising.

WHAT IS AUTOMATED AFFILIATE SECRETS?
Automated Affiliate Secrets is of course an affiliate marketing course, a course that was created by an individual named Duston McGroaty. This is a subject that I have fair bit of knowledge on (although I don’t know everything) so I decided to do abit of research on AAS to see if it could actually deliver on its potential claims.
Duston claims his course will be able to generate you upto $350 a day and while l know for a fact affiliate marketing can get you to a level where you are making that kind of money, it’ll normally either cost you tons of money, time and even both in some occasions to achieve.
Anyhow, before getting into the core of the course contents I did a bit of background research on Duston to see what he’s done in the past etc.
Firstly, he has a fairly small YouTube channel that goes by his actual aka “Duston McGroaty” where he provides some very long and in depth tutorials on topics focused around affiliate marketing. .
His training on YouTube, which include videos lasting longer than even one hour, focus on both paid and free affiliate marketing through websites. From what I could gather it seems he’s done exceptionally well in both regards, particularly on the subject of generating traffic.
Another thing worth noting is that Duston has created 10 courses over his time as a digital entrepreneur and although he isn’t really a well known affiliate marketer, he definitely appears to be an experienced one.

HOW DOES AUTOMATED AFFILIATE SECRETS WORK?
AAS is a pretty in depth course split into 3 different lessons which are formated as long webinars covering different elements of affiliate training.
Lesson 1
This lesson is in the from of a 2h45 webinar so, it’s basically one continuous lesson (instead of a broken down training program that it should) showing you how to get started.
The fact lesson 1 isn’t even broken down into easy to digest pieces, in my eyes, suggests there was not much effort put aside on Duston’s part in order to create a course that’s user friendly and easy to learn from.
Nevertheless, the content within the webinar is pretty solid and will give you a good amount of knowledge on how to efficiently and effectively get started with affiliate marketing.
As for the topics covered here, they include :
- Niche research and selection
- How to get a domain name
- How to get an autoresponder
- How to use Google & Facebook ads
- How to determine the Avatar of your audience (age, gender, race, religion, martial status etc.)
- How to funnel traffic to offers and squeeze pages to basically set up your funnel and forget it.
All of these aspects of the lesson aren’t wrong per say however, all of what Duston attempts to teach within lesson one are focused mostly on paid advertising. Moreover, the funnel he teaches and gives to you for “free” isn’t actually going to be free considering you’ll have to purchase Clickfunnels in order to access it, which mind you is $97/month.
I don’t doubt you’ll get his funnel but, you’ll first have to purchase clickfunnels, giving Duston a commission payment in the process.
The funnel side of things is what make the course automated however, depending on what niche you delve into, Duston’s funnels may not work out for you.
Lesson 2
The second lesson is also in the form of a webinar, this time only being 2 hours long.
The topics covered here include :
- How to identify the problems your audience may be having and finding a solution for them, for example weight loss or help them find legitimate money making opportunities etc.
- More research on your niche and affiliate products associated with it
- Be compliant with how advertisers want you to legally do things
- The prices of the paid for Google and Facebook ads
The information on lesson 2, although useful, are also subjects that could just as easily be learned online for free or by using just a little bit of common sense, but it’s not a bad lesson per say. In fact I personally do think it’s a very important one.
Lesson 3
This is also a 2 hour video in the form of a webinar. This lesson basically goes over how you should use the psychology and mindset of your potential buyers to take them through steps until they’re ready to buy and convert for you.
In this video you’ll be shown Duston’s 3 page website where he basically shows how he uses his 3 step funnel process to hook the potential customer, build up anticipation and desire for the product before throwing them in front of the call to action button and ultimately making a sale.
Lesson 3 is definitely will be a very important and valuable bit of training to learn as it allows you to basically pick out some key points and understand the mindset of a fairly successful affiliate marketing like Duston.
HOW MUCH AUTOMATED AFFILIATE SECRETS COST?
However, although the course definitely has value and can make you potentially successful in the affiliate marketing scene, if not guide you through one specific way, when you consider how it’s not very well laid out for users and has a very limited amount of resources to use to your advantage, its $497 price tag does not come across as a great investment in my opinion at least.
This is purely because there are significantly better affiliate marketing courses out there which offer a lot more training and knowledge whilst not asking you to use ads to generate affiliate commission right of the bat (like this one!).
In my opinion, for what’s being offered AAS’ is way too much but, hey that doesn’t mean it’s a bad course, it’s simply overpriced is all.
THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS
Only Taught How To Use Paid For Advertising
The training only covers affiliate marketing in the paid for aspect of things, which is certainly legit but it’s also a very expensive model to pursue for the majority of individuals.
The lack of training on SEO and free traffic isn’t necessarily the worst thing in the world but, it’ll definitely be a concern for those of you who aren’t willing to risk thousands before figuring out a formula that works.
It”s Too Expensive
Considering the course is not only just under 7 hours long but, isn’t well organised, doesn’t have any form of coaching and doesn’t even teach you how to do affiliate marketing through SEO and using other free forms offer traffic, I personally do think it’s lacking in many many regards.
The fact is you can literally purchase a course that offer 10 – 20 times more valuable information (that’s constantly updating) on all fronts including useful tools and other things included in one which costs $359/year, whilst a 7 hour course (which mind you isn’t bad or anything) that’s unorganised and pretty hard to digest is $497.
at most I’d say AAS is a $99 course in its current form (possibly more if it was more organised) and not one that’s worth 5 times.
No Coaching
It doesn’t appear like you’ll get any kind of coaching after you’ve done the training which is another issue I have with the course.
Then again, I don’t think Duston would abandon people who’ve paid for his course but, I doubt he’d have much free time to help you out on a regular basis. This may be a little more concerning when you take into account members will likely be looking to spend a lot of money trying to figure out the right funnels.
So, the lack of coaching or even a community to discuss affiliate matters with may be a problem, probably as soon as you start out.
THE GOOD THINGS
Duston Practices What He Preaches
Duston has a YouTube channel based around affiliate marketing and if you ever decide to check them out, it seems as if he does achieve quite a bit of success using paid means to accumulate commissions.
It does seem like everything he teaches, he actually personally does take action on. Therefore, I guess can call this a positive, along with the fact affiliate marketing is a legitimate online business model.

However, for the average beginner and more or less for everyone else to a degree, Wealthy affiliate would be the course/all in one affiliate tool I’d recommend you invest in because not only is it cheaper in some levels, it’s also one of the best affiliate courses out there along with having one the best communities in the affiliate marketing space to keep you motivated so you can make this online biz work.
MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION
I’d suggest you check out my personal recommendation if you still want to make money online, though I’ll warn you right now, it isn’t something through which money will come easy.
It is nonetheless a great business model for the online space in my opinion
So what is this method that I’m talking about?
