Rapidworkers Review (A Great GPT Site Or A Scam?!)

Welcome to my Rapidworkers review!

It’s likely that you have come across Rapidworkers through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to purchasing or joining Rapidworkers. For all you could have known, Rapidworkers may very well be a scam and rob you of your money so this review could help you find anything peculiar about it.

To be totally transparent with you I haven’t used Rapidworkers so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you on it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party review of Rapidworkers that will hopefully help you to make the correct decision in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: Rapidworkers

OWNER/S: not disclosed

TYPE OF PRODUCT: GPT site

PRICE: free to join

SUMMARY: As far as I can tell Rapidworkers is not a scam, it appears to be a legitimate system that does payout its customers provided they don’t somehow get banned in the process.

However, as is the case for every GPT site, the work required for that minimal pay just isn’t worth it so, unless you’re willing to accept the tiny monetary potential, I can’t say Rapidworkers would be worth getting involved in.

FINAL RATING: 2.5/5

RECOMMENDED: No

WHAT IS RAPIDWORKERS?

Rapidworkers logo

Rapidworkers is a GPT site that started up all the way back in 2009 and is very similar to most other rewards sites where you’re asked to complete tasks in order to build up points before eventually exchanging the points for rewards.

However, the biggest difference between rapidworkers and your typical get paid to site is that it’s tasks that members layout within you’ll be completing in order to make money.

Other than that the basic layout of the business model is very similar to most other rewards based sites.

In regards to where its core traffic is coming from, according to alexa the top 3 countries visiting Rapidworkers are Bangladesh (12.1%), India (10.2%) and Egypt (9.3%).

HOW DOES RAPIDWORKERS WORK?

The sign up process is simple and doesn’t require you to do all too much. All you’d need to do is fill in your basic details, confirm your email address and then you should be good to go. Also keep in mind that you will need to be 18 years old at the minimum to join too.

After signing up you’ll be greeted with a multitude of tasks created by other members that you can partake in called micro-tasks.

Rapidworkers payment structure

Every micro-task will be different and will also require specific criteria to be met whether it be the country you are in, your gender and so on. Each task can pay you between $0.02 – $2 but the majority will be in the $0.10 – $0.50 range.

As for the different types of micro-tasks you can do, they include the following :

  • Visiting a website and signing up
  • Downloading an app
  • Finding specific videos for your employer
  • Downloading files (this is one is a little dangerous though)
  • And more!

One good thing about the system is that you can filter out whatever tasks you don’t qualify for so, you won’t necessarily need to search far and wide just to find a micro-task you can actually do.

You should also keep in mind that the task giver will rate your performance so you’d want to keep that above a specific point, which I believe should be a satisfaction rating of  60%+ if you want to continue doing task and not be banned by specific task givers.

Sometimes an unsatisfied rating will mean that even if you did the task correctly you wouldn’t be paid out however, thankfully Rapidworkers also has a feature to negate the misuse of the task givers power as you can also send messages to customer service to get false unsatisfied claims overruled.

How Do You Get Paid?

In order to get paid, you’d need to reach the minimum withdrawal threshold of $8 before being able to withdraw through PayPal.

You’ve got to keep in mind that withdrawals also have 6% commission fee, which is a bummer but, I guess Rapidworkers have to make income somehow right?

The processing period appears to take a week so that’s a little annoying too.

WHAT ARE USERS OF RAPIDWORKERS SAYING?

The experience for the most part, at least according to trustpilot shows that people are earning and are also able to withdraw their money once the threshold has been reached.

With that being said users are also talking about getting banned after reaching the threshold number and attempting to withdraw.

So I guess the website is kind of a mixed bag as it does appear to work for some whilst others are simply getting banned for no reason.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

The Earning Potential Is Small

The fact is that unless you live in one of the more financially stable countries like the UK, US, Canada, Norway etc. The number of opportunities you’ll be able to partake in will be far less within other countries like Bangladesh, India, Egypt etc.

On top of this the tasks that you’re given barely pay out anything so, compared to the amount of time and effort you’d need to put into the tasks and the amount of money you’ll receive in the end, it really isn’t worth doing the tasks unless you can accept that Rapidworkers is purely designed so you can make a bit of pocket change on the side.

Certain Tasks May Not Be Trustworthy

I don’t know if Rapidworkers vets the tasks it’s members put out because occasionally there are specific ones that require you to download shady looking files.

Because these kind of tasks are super easy to do, I’m sure a lot of people actually will do them and in turn invite a virus in to their computer systems without knowing.

So, if you were to join, you’d definitely want to avoid these very suspicious looking tasks.

THE GOOD THINGS

It’s Been Around A While

The fact Rapidworkers is essentially 11 years old at this point makes it a fairly established company and a lot more trustworthy than a lot of the newer sites that are now available

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I’d suggest you check out my personal recommendation if you still want to make money online, though I’ll warn you right now, it isn’t something through which money will come easy.

It is nonetheless a great business model for the online space in my opinion

So what is this method that I’m talking about?

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it is because:

– expectations toward success are a lot more grounded

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– it is a very scalable business

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.
