It’s likely that you have come across WebTalk through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.
Is WebTalk a scam? The reasons why you’re here is because you have want answers right so, that’s what I’m going to provide for you within this WebTalk review.
First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining WebTalk. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.
To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of WebTalk so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.
What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at WebTalk that will hopefully help you to make the best decision you can in the end.
PRODUCT NAME: WebTalk
OWNER/S: Robert Garbowicz
TYPE OF PRODUCT: social media MLM
PRICE: $20/Month – $40/month
SUMMARY: No WebTalk is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s a legitimate MLM company.
However, the main reason why I wouldn’t recommend signing up and trying to promote it is because the income potential is really small in the beginning. Therefore, without investing in other training to get the idea of joining out there for others, you’re chances of making good income isn’t going to be high at all.
Besides, if you want to make money online, affiliate marketing is a much better option as it doesn’t restrict you to promoting only a single product, instead you could recommend a vast number of products that can earn you a full time income or more, all without needing to recruit hundreds of people to do so.
Of course the final choice is on you but as it stands, I’m certainly not a fan of WebTalk’s business opportunity.
FINAL RATING: 1.5/5

WHAT IS WEBTALK?
From what I could find, it appears as if WebTalk is a MLM system that sells social media sites to consumers with the intention of taking the best bits from the likes of Facebook and LinkedIn and basically improving upon them.
The website for WebTalk was actually registered all the way back in 2010 and in mid 2018 it looks like it was updated which is interesting when you look into the background of the owner, Robert Garbowicz. In 2010 Robert actually created his one social media website called “Your Night”.
The website was supposedly very successful having generated 50 million+ users within its first year and a half however, if this was the case, why would it have shut down just over a year after launch. It doesn’t make sense right but I guess that’s not really that important anymore.

WEBTALK’S PRODUCT LINE
WebTalk acts as kind of like a middleman social media of sorts where there are paid options that you can use to expand the free contacts of 50 to a lot more if you pay.
The packages you can pay for includes :
- Pro — Pay $20/month or $200/year for 500 contacts, 5 messages each month to non-WebTalk members, 5 emails, see who looks at your profile, and get rid of banner ads.
- Pro Plus — Pay $30/month or $300/year for 1000 contacts, 10 messages each month to non-WebTalk members and 10 emails.
- Pro Platinum — Pay $40/month or $400/year to view profiles without other people knowing, search through members based on gender + age, access to unlimited contacts, 20 messages each month to non-WebTalk members, and 20 emails.
The more an individual is willing to pay, the larger they’ll be able to grow their WebTalk network. To me it really does give off a LinkedIn vibe so, why should you invest money in WebTalk when there are free platforms out there but, that’s a decision every individual will have to make for themselves.
If you want a little more information regarding the company, you can watch the video below.
HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH WEBTALK?
As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, WebTalk being no exception.
1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales
2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.
HOW TO GET STARTED
If you want to join WebTalk and in turn be able to promote the social media site for money, you’ll need to sign up through one of their 3 membership packs that I listed above.
So the price to join is $20/month and can go as high $40/month if you opt for the highest level package.
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
Of course as WebTalk is a MLM, it also has a few elements to its structure that will allow you to make money. In this section I’ll briefly breaking down the contents of the compensation plan so that you have a rough idea on how everything works.
The first way you can earn money is through your personally recruited affiliates and from advertising fees which are managed through the SocialCPX platform and provides the following commissions :
- 10% of premium monthly subscription costs that are paid by your personally sponsored WebTalk affiliate members will be paid to you in commissions.
- 10% of any ad spend that is done by your personally sponsored members will be paid to you in commissions.
- 10% of any advertised local services that are purchased by your WebTalk members will be paid to you in commissions.
- 2% to 9% when a product is purchased through the WebTalk news feed will be paid to you in commissions.
- 5% of all app subscriptions sold via the internal app store will be paid to you in commissions.
Residual Commissions
The second way through which you can earn money with WebTalk is through their MLM based unilevel structure where an affiliate will be able to earn money from indirect members within their teams.
What this means is that you’ll be eligible to earn commissions from the affiliates of your personal recruits too, which is available until the 3rd level within the unilevel structure.
You should earn a percentage of commissions from your unilevel structure too, much like how you’d earn from your personal recruits.
Another thing worth noting is that WebTalk have stated that only the first 1 million members within the company will be eligible for residual commissions. I’ve no idea how big the company is so, I can’t really say much about their size right now but, I don’t think that’ll be too much of a concern for a little while at least.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS
Recruitment Is Still Essential
As WebTalk is a MLM, recruiting will be a major reason as to how you’d succeed with the company. Even if it doesn’t seem like it matters as much with WebTalk due to the recurring commissions from personal recruits, it’s still going to play a massive role in trying to scale and ultimately succeed.
In short it’s essential.
Its Social Media Competition Are Basically The Same But Cost Less
I don’t see why you should pay a monthly subscription to join when LinkedIn, which is a social media that pretty much does the same things but for free, is available.
That’s just how I see. You may very well see it differently but, I don’t think it’s worth investing in a social media website with little to no growth right now, when you could just as well pay other social media platform to grow your Internet persona just the same if not better.
You Probably Won’t Make Much Money With The System
It’s unlikely that you’ll make a lot of money with WebTalk. In terms of figures, you only get 10% in commissions from each one of your monthly referrals. This means that even if a referral of yours purchase the the $40/month deal, you’ll only make $4 per month from them.
Ultimately this would first require you to recruit at least 500 members who invest in the highest monthly package to make at $2k a month. Of course you probably will make a bit more money from the ad expenditure etc but, as you can see, the numbers definitely aren’t in your favour.
Of course this is how much you’d make if the members you recruit only purchase the highest membership level and if they also don’t recruit other members but, it’s likely you’ll need to personally recruit 50 – multiple hundreds just to see good returns with WebTalk.
Besides in my time researching MLM’s, I know that the failure rate is pretty high and the rate of making even $1k/month is only achieved by 5% of every member.
As a whole, you shouldn’t expect to make very much money with WebTalk.

THE GOOD THINGS
There’s really not anything that stands out when it comes to WebTalk, I guess the fact it’s both a social media platform and MLM does make it kind of unique as I’ve not seen this combination before however, in general there isn’t anything concretely positive when discussing this company.

IS WEBTALK A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?
No WebTalk is neither a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s a legitimate MLM company.
However, the main reason why I wouldn’t recommend signing up and trying to promote it is because the income potential is really small in the beginning. Therefore, without investing in other training to get the idea of joining out there for others, you’re chances of making good income isn’t going to be high at all.

Of course the final choice is on you but as it stands, I’m certainly not a fan of WebTalk’s business opportunity.
MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION
I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).
Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.
This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.
The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because
– there is no need to recruit constantly
– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products
– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.
The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.
If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding WebTalk, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about WebTalk and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!

Thank you! I was invited to Webtalk recently and I had never heard of it before. It seemed shady to me and I couldn’t figure out what the deal was. I appreciate you breaking it down with actual numbers because I couldn’t understand how you could make money doing this.
I’d rather not waste my time on something that I don’t believe in or care about and I’m having fun with my own blog. I’ve only been at it for about 2 and a half months and I love writing about things I’m passionate about and it gives me the opportunity to become an expert in something.
I’m part of Wealthy Affiliate too!:) I’ve never been so impressed with an online community before. Thanks again!
