Is NeoLife A Scam?(Still Worth Joining Or A Pyramid Scheme?!)

It’s likely that you have come across NeoLife through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

Is NeoLife a scam? The reasons why you’re here is because you have want answers right so, that’s what I’m going to provide for you within this NeoLife review.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining NeoLife. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.

To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of NeoLife so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at NeoLife that will hopefully help you to make the best decision you can in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: NeoLife

OWNER/S: Jerry Brass

TYPE OF PRODUCT: health and wellness MLM

PRICE: $49+

SUMMARY: No, NeoLife is not a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s a legitimate MLM that seems to produce decent products and it’s longevity of course adds a ton of credibility to it.

However, the emphasis on recruitment for success, the really confusing compensation plan (in my opinion at least) and the really low success rate makes it so I wouldn’t actively recommend you join and promote NeoLife to others.

Then again the company is far from the worst MLM’s I’ve reviewed and has stayed relatively clean in the lawsuit front as well making it a fairly reliable company to join if you’re totally sold on it already.

FINAL RATING: 2.5/5

RECOMMENDED: No

WHAT IS NEOLIFE?

NeoLife logo

NeoLife is a health and wellness MLM founded by Jerry Brass field in 1954 making it 65+ years old at this point, which is one helluva achievement when you consider most companies tend to fail and collapse within 10 years.

Although NeoLife’s roots lay in the health and wellness area, since its founding it has also delved into other niches such as home care and the cosmetics industry.

It’s worth noting that before rebranding to NeoLife in 2013, the company used to be called Golden Neolife Diamite International.

Jerry himself, before starting up his own company, was actually a very successful direct selling entrepreneur. In fact he was so good that he managed to generate $5 million doing so at the time, and the only reason why he decided to create his own institution was due to how the business he worked in collapsed due to mismanagement from the higher ups.

That’s why he created his own direct marketing company, where he followed his morals for quality product, good service distributors and ultimately to do better than the company he worked with previously. Eventually he decided to merge with NeoLife and now the rest is history.

NEOLIFE PRODUCTS

When you take into account how long NeoLife has been in business, it makes sense that the number of products in their library is pretty extensive and sure enough, the product line is in fact huge.

Some of the different categories of products found in the lineup include the following :

  • Health Packs
  • Weight Management
  • Heart Health
  • Digestive Health
  • Immunity
  • Sharper Mind
  • Home Care
  • Personal Care

And a ton more!

The number of products within NeoLife easily number over 50 and could be as much as 100 so, it’d be very hard to just list every product within so, if you want to get a more detailed look at all of their products, click here.

As for NeoLife’s best selling products, they include the following :

  1. 3-Day Detox: This is a weight management program that help remove toxins from the body, promotes a healthy gut and aims to slow down premature aging.

NeoLife review

The reviews were also positive regarding the quality of products on bestcompany.

NeoLife review

The fact the quality of the products are solid does make a lot of sense considering it was always the owners goals to make high quality items and of course as it’s been around as long as it has, it also makes sense considering the attempt at creating products fit for consumers.

Of course this doesn’t mean everyone is a fan of the products but, from what I could find, the large majority of individuals did like them so, if you’ve not tried the items yourself, you’ll just have to take this information as you will.

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH NEOLIFE?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, NeoLife being no exception.

1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales

2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.

HOW TO GET STARTED

If you want to join NeoLife, all you’d need to do is sign up, which is actually free to do and provides quite a few benefits.

The benefits include the following :

  1. Access to Exclusive Products
  2. 15-30% Off Suggested Retail
  3. Nutrition & Personal Development
  4. Complimentary Personal Website
  5. 3 for FREE Program
  6. Be Your Best Challenge
  7. Fun Events & Community

However, in order to benefit from the company’s compensation plan you’d need to invest some money. You can choose to pay a $49 affiliate membership fee or buy one of the 3 starter kits NeoLife offer to get a headstart in the distribution process :

  • Builder Kit – $440
  • Manager Kit – $785
  • Senior Manager Kit – $1530

The main difference between the kits are that the more expensive ones will provide you with a better return on investment over the cheaper kits.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

If you’re serious about joining NeoLife, it will be important for you to study the compensation plan. In this section I’ll briefly be going over it to give you a rough idea on how it works but, if you’re planning on joining NeoLife it’s definitely one of the more important aspects to learn.

As an affiliate, there are 2 main ways you can earn with NeoLife and these are what I’ll cover here. But you should know that there are multiple other bonuses and incentives that NeoLife have on offer too such as travel rewards, personal awards, leadership development and so on.

Retail Commissions

Affiliates are able to generate commission on every sale that they make personally. The amount an individual makes will be dependant on how large the group volume within an affiliates downline team is.

  • A 3% commission is paid for generating 250 GV/month
  • A 5% commission is paid for generating 500 GV/month
  • A 10% commission is paid for generating 1000 GV/month
  • A 15% commission is paid for generating 2000 GV/month
  • A 20% commission is paid for generating 4000 GV/month

Residual Commissions

This commission is generated via an unilevel structure which simply means that an affiliate will be able to earn and recruit infinitely horizontally but vertically the earnings are capped.

I can’t seem to find too much information on this element but, there are various ways that this residual commission is paid, whether it be through a leadership bonus or through network development according to the companies compensation plan.

If you want a more indepth look at the plan, I’d suggest either clicking here or watching the video below.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

Recruitment Is Important If You Want To Succeed

Being good at recruitment is an absolute must have skill if you’re planning on joining a MLM company so, it shouldn’t be all that surprising that it’s also pretty much a necessity if you want to succeed within NeoLife.

Of course this isn’t to say retail sales won’t be able to generate you good income however, in order to be successful in that way you’d need probably need to sell 150+ items every month just to make a decent amount of income and continue working equally as hard every month to do maintain said income.

Although recruitment isn’t easier, for some it may even be way harder, it is the more logical approach because over time you’ll not only start making residual/autopilot commissions but, you also won’t need to work as hard provided you actually put in the work beforehand.

That’s why I always say that If you’re not willing to get good at recruitment or aren’t already good at it, you should probably skip out on the large majority MLM opportunities out there.

I Found The Compensation Plan To Be A Little Confusing

I personally found the compensation plan to be a little tough to understand, especially with the layout of the plan on NeoLife’s website and the somewhat difficult and unique elements to it.

This probably isn’t too bad an issue but, it’s one I believe quite a few people will struggle with.

Most People Will Fail

According to NeoLife’s income disclosure statement found within reddit, it does appear as if the majority of individuals are failing.

In general I’ve found thet 5% of members tend to make a decent income of around $1k/month whilst only 1% of members tend to make a full time income of around $2k+/month.

NeoLife income disclosure statement

Which is quite accurate  when compared to the numbers shown on NeoLife’s income disclosure statement which appears to just be padded stats that don’t accurately display the earnings of all distributors.

This is because NeoLife are only showing members who are making $500+ a year, which to me implies the overall income statement is made to look more favourable when in reality, it’s likely that the majority of active affiliates are making a lot less than $500/year.

In short, most people will fail and that’s a factor you’d need to take into account before you consider joining NeoLife’s business opportunity.

THE GOOD THINGS

It’s Been Around A Long Time

The fact the company is well over 69 years old at this point really adds a ton of credibility to it. Especially when you consider that the majority of companies tend fail within 5 – 10 years of starting so, NeoLife going beyond that figure by many tens of years adds a ton more credibility to it over your average MLM company.

People Seem To Like The Products

Although not everyone is a fan, a lot of reviews on the products seem to be positive which is another good thing in my books, especially when a lot of these newer MLM’s tend to have poor products on offer.

IS NEOLIFE A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

This probably shouldn’t come off as too much of a surprise to you but no, NeoLife is not a pyramid scheme or a scam, it’s a legitimate MLM that seems to produce decent products and it’s longevity of course adds a ton of credibility to it.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding NeoLife, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about NeoLife and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
