Forsage Review (A Gifting Scheme Scam?!)

It’s likely that you have come across Forsage through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

Is Forsage a scam? The reasons why you’re here is because you have want answers right so, that’s what I’m going to provide for you within this Forsage review.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining Forsage. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.

To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of Forsage so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at Forsage that will hopefully help you to make the best decision you can in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: Forsage

OWNER/S: not disclosed

TYPE OF PRODUCT: crypto MLM

PRICE: initial investment of 0.05 ETJ

SUMMARY: I personally do think that Forsage is both a pyramid scheme and scam as it showcases a bunch of obvious red flag (in my opinion atleast) that does not make it come across as a legitimate business

These red flags include the fact that the whole system is reliant on your ability to recruit in order to succeed, the lack of any retail products for non affiliate income, the owner not showing up and it essentially being an illegitimate gifting scheme.

By taking all of these factors into account, I cannot acknowledge Forsage as a legitimate business opportunity to pursue and would ultimately suggest looking elsewhere if you’re truly looking to make money “legitimately” online.

FINAL RATING: 0/5

RECOMMENDED: NO!!

WHAT IS FORSAGE?

Forsage logo

Forsage appears to be a smartwallet gifting scheme/MLM where its affiliates are essentially asked to recruit others in order to make money.

This alone already is a red flag in my books but, what’s worse is that there really isn’t much information on who runs the company. In fact Forsage bluntly claims that there is no admin present within.

Of course this is obviously not true, otherwise how would Forsage be active right now.

The only other bit of information I could find was that the domain of the website “forsage.io” was registered in February 9 2020 along with the fact that another domain called “smartway.run” is found within the source code.

What’s interesting about about this is if you change the domain to “forsage.smartway.run” it actually redirects you right back to forsage.

So, from what I’ve gathered here Smartway is very likely to be another variant of forsage and based off of smartway’s content being all russian, there’s a good chance that the individual behind forsage is a russian guy too.

The other bit of info I found was regarding the websites traffic percentages. According to alexa that the top 3 countries it’s getting traffic from are the United States (20%), Colombia (19%) and Brazil (8%).

FORSAGE PRODUCTS

Forsage does not offer any retail products, all you can do is sign up and become an affiliate of the company.

This is actually a characteristic which the FTC themselves label as something a pyramid scheme would do.

Now this isn’t to say that MLM businesses that actually sell retail products can’t be pyramid schemes too but, when a company that is essentially advocating a MLM business structure yet also fails to offer any retailable products to non affiliate consumers, at that point it’s pretty clear to me that they’re isn’t very legitimate.

What’s even funnier is that Forsage even admit to running an illegal opportunity by claiming that “Profit comes from other participants directly into your personal wallet”.

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH FORSAGE?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, Forsage being no exception.

1. The first method here is by seeing the value of your ethereum going up providing you with a positive ROi.

2. The second method is by recruiting others into your team and making money from your recruits.

HOW TO GET STARTED

If you want to join Forsage, it will set you back an initial 0.05 ETH. The system also employs a pay to play system where you can invest upto 50.6 ETH (around $10k+) just to unlock the entirety of the opportunity.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

Forsage follows a 3 x 1 matrix cycler commission and a 2 x 2 cycler position through which it pays its affiliates.

What this means is that in order to get paid, an affiliate of the company will need to recruit a specific amount of people.

The 3 x 1 matrix will require the affiliate to recruit 3 people to trigger a cycle whilst the 2 x 2 matrix will require an affiliate to recruit 2 individual and will also require those 2 affiliates to recruit 2 others in order to fulfill the cycle.

As for how the payments for each one of these matrix’s work, it is as follows :

  • 3×1 matrix (entry is 0.025 ETH of the initial 0.05 ETH buy in) – generates 0.05 ETH in gifting payments and entry into a new 3×1 matrix
  • 2×2 matrix (entry is 0.025 ETH of the initial 0.05 ETH buy in) – generates 0.075 ETH in gifting payments and entry into a new 2×2 matrix

Furthermore, in order to unlock more levels to the cycle, affiliates can also opt to invest in at the following levels :

  • Level 2 – 0.15 ETH
  • Level 3– 0.35 ETH
  • Level 4 – 0.75 ETH
  • Level 5 – 1.55 ETH
  • Level 6 – 3.15 ETH
  • Level 7 – 6.35 ETH
  • Level 8 – 12.75 ETH
  • Level 9 – 25.55 ETH

I don’t really see any benefit to purchasing the higher level packages other than the opportunity to possibly be gifted more money from other unfortunate folk who invest in the company and if you’re unable to satisfy a cycle, you won’t even make your money back.

The other issue here is that these extra investments in the higher levels don’t result in you gaining anything of value either, all that happens is you being able to receive larger gifting payments if your recruits also decide to upgrade their levels and… well this just isn’t a good sign.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

Recruitment Is Crucial For Success

The only way to make money with Forsage is by first signing up and then recruiting 3 others just to make your money back.

I know that when the only way to make money with any MLM is through recruitment, that already is a major red flag because the FTC themselves deem entities that are solely reliant on an individuals ability to recruit as pyramid schemes.

Furthermore, entities like forsage also tend be reliant on recruitment to keep the business afloat and it’s usually the people who’ve recruited that make the most money whilst the majority of individuals at the bottom tend not to even make a single dime.

They Don’t Offer Any Retailable Products

As I’ve mentioned already, when a company offers nothing of value to non affiliate customers, that would also indicate that company is acting as pyramid like entity.

So, you should definitely take note of this major negative as, to me at least, it’s another key indicator that Forsage probably is not worth risking your money on, even if it is just a measly 10 or so bucks to get started.

The Owner Doesn’t Show Up

The lack of an owner showing up within Forsage is another red flag that I’ve seen among MLM’s and products alike. Although Forsage claims it has no admin running behind the scenes, I’m pretty sure there is one.

Therefore, them not being mentioned even once within the Forsage main page is a very common characteristic that I’ve found among scams and another reason to be cautious of this opportunity.

It’s A Gifting Scheme

Now, here’s the biggest issue I have with Forsage. Forsage follows what is known as a gifting scheme where in order to make money with it you’d need to first make an investment, bring in 3 people and then basically make your money back.

Then you have to continue this cycle in order to make another 10 bucks, so on an so forth.

From what I hear people who’ve succeeded in the recruitment side have made their money back however, this gifting scheme literally provides no product to potential affiliates.

All affiliates can do is buy a membership, have others buy a membership and basically receive all of their initial investments as your own.

You aren’t told how to build a business or even asked to sell anything of even a single iota of value, all you’re asked is to invest in ethereum, have others do the same by abiding to this “smart contract” and once the smart contract is fulfilled, you’ll make cash.

To me, this whole business model just does not come across as legitimate and as far as I can tell, most governing bodies don’t seem to think they’re legitimate too so I would personally not recommend wasting your time on it.

THE GOOD THINGS

There is literally nothing good about Forsage in my opinion, it’s simply a gifting scheme that you should avoid as it does not work in a legitimate way.

IS FORSAGE A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

I personally do think that Forsage is both a pyramid scheme and scam as it showcases a bunch of obvious red flag (in my opinion atleast) that does not make it come across as a legitimate business

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding Forsage, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about Forsage and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
