Is Limu a scam? The reasons why you’re here is because you have want answers right so, that’s what I’m going to provide for you within this Limu review.
First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining Limu. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.
To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of Limu so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.
What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at Limu that will hopefully help you to make the best decision you can in the end.

The heavy emphasis on recruitment to succeed, the confusing compensation plan, the likelihood of having to pay thousands to maintain your active status as a Limu distributor and the really low success rate within MLM’s as a whole are a few reasons why I’d suggest not joining the company.
Moreover, the company will lock you in with promoting a set number of products too. My question to you is why do that when you can not only start a business for a lot less money but, also promote all the fucoidan products in the market through the business model I recommend and is taught within my #1 recommendation.
All in all Limu doesn’t seem to be a bad MLM company to join however, it’s still not a business opportunity I would recommend the majority to join mostly because of how it focuses on having you recruit a lot more than most business models would require.

WHAT IS LIMU?
Limu is a health and wellness MLM company founded in 2004 by Gary Raser so, the company isn’t just your run of the mill young entity however, considering it is in the health and wellness niche, Limu does have some stiff competition.
I’ve seen tons of different health and wellness MLM’s from kannaway, isagenix, pure, CTFO, Zinzino, CorVive and a ton of others. So this begs to ask the question, why exactly should people invest in Limu when there are so many other brands in the MLM scene, that are more established, which they could look to join instead?
Well, one way in which the company aims to separate itself from its competitors is through the use of its specialised ingredient, Fucoidan, which is a substance found in brown seaweed.
I guess this is something you could call a superfood as it appears to have a ton of benefits, some of which include :
- Good for immune system
- Help with joints
- Gain lots of energy
- Better sleep
- Skin smoothness and softness
- Promotes healthy blood cholesterol
- Allergy relief
Now, whether or not this is a good enough reason to join and promote the products to others is a different matter entirely but, that’s what I’ll dig into a little deeper throughout the rest of the review so you can get a better idea of the business opportunity.

LIMU PRODUCTS
Limu have quite an extensive list of products that they sell. I wouldn’t say it’s an amount that’d confuse the majority of individuals who are looking to buy fucoidan based product.
Thier lineup consists of the following items :
- Giving Greens ($82.79)
- Omega-Q ($70.70)
- Optimal-V ($68.50)
- Optimal-M ($58.50
- Puritii Water Filter ($71.36)
- Slendriix ($171.36)
- Limu Lean (47.50)
- Limu Original ($30)
The pricing of each of their products, from what I’ve seen is actually pretty standard, maybe a little more expensive but not anything that would surprise me, especially when compared to other MLM’s.
Obviously this doesn’t mean they’re not expensive nevertheless, I definitely wouldn’t say Limu’s products are affordable.
In regards to how the products are received, on bbb it seems like people do genuinely like them.
I found the same positivity on Highya too.
This is the consensus I managed to find across the board, there wasn’t very much negativity regarding the effectiveness of the energy drinks or the other items Limu sell so, at least in that front Limu isn’t a bad company to promote.
HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH LIMU?
As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, Limu being no exception.
1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales
2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.
HOW TO GET STARTED
If you want to join Limu there are a few things you must do. The first would be to sign up under an already existing member. The next step would be to purchase their starter kit, this kit will cost at the minimum $100 or you could choose to purchase the more expensive kits which can cost as much as $999.
Furthermore, you’ll also need to commit to a monthly autoship scheme where you’d likely need to spend a decent amount of cash monthly to simply remain an active member.
With all things considered, you could easily be investing thousands on a yearly basis to remain as an active affiliate although, Limu do have a scheme in place where if you refer 3 members into your downline team, the autoship will be nullified.
However, recruiting 3 individuals who are genuinely interested won’t be an easy task to accomplish anyways.
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
If you want to join Limu, it’s imperative that you learn the compensation plan, which is why in this section of the review I’ll go over it briefly.
Firstly, the company has many ranks that you can achieve within, which include the following :
- M
- 1k
- 2k
- 10K
- 20K
- 50K
- 100K
- 200K
- 300K
- 500K
- 750K
- 1M
- 2M
In total there are actually 13, which is on the higher side for MLM’s (from what I’ve seen at least). This implies that you’ll need to do a lot of work (recruiting primarily) to increase your rank and ultimately benefit further from the compensation plan.
As for how many different ways there are to make money with Limu, there are once again 13 different methods
- Retail Commissions : You’ll make a profit every time you purchase a product at the wholesale price and the sell at the recommended retail pricing. The profit margins will be around the 20% mark.
- 3 for Free Product : This is basically the program that nullifies the autoship if you manage to recruit 3 people.
- Fast Track Bonus
- 2K VIP Bonus
- First Order Bonus
- Limu BMW Club Bonus : If you manage to reach the criteria for this bonus, Limu will provide you with a $600 monthly bonus which you can then contribute towards leasing or buying a BMW.
- Cash Bonuses
- Leader Development Bonus
- 100K Leader Pool
- 500K Leader Pool
- Reward Trips
- Level Bonus : This is a residual bonus you can earn from your downline and will increase the higher you level up within Limu. It starts off at 5% at levels 1 – 2 and can go to as deep as the 8th level provided you are a high enough rank.
- Lifetime Cash Bonus
A large portion of the bonuses Limu offer are heavily reliant on an affiliates ability to recruit, which honestly isn’t all that surprising, so if you were to join that’s something you’d need to come to terms with as you won’t able to succeed or go very far at all without building a solid team through recruitment.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS
Recruiting Is Very Important If You Want To Succeed
Recruitment is ultimately the biggest factor for succeeding or failing within any given MLM but, there are exceptions although very few.
This is a skill set that you will need to learn in order to succeed within Limu, grow in rank and ultimately qualify for the large majority of bonuses present in the compensation plan.
Therefore, if you’ve already got the recruitment aspect of the business locked down or aren’t willing to invest in more training and learn how to do so, in my eyes, it’s probably going to be very hard for you to find success with this or any other MLM company for that matter.
It Can Be An Expensive Business To Start
Although on the surface the $100 start up fee isn’t all that bad or expensive, when you realise that you also have to deal with a monthly autoship, which will set you back around $100 every month, it’s easy to see how the costs will start to rack up and even instances of stockpiling might start to occur, especially if you’re unable to make consistent sales.
If you’re unable to achieve the 3 for free bonus within the compensation plan, you could easily be looking at spending thousands simply to stay as an active Limu affiliate.
Confusing Compensation Plan
The compensation plan is not only long, it’s also confusing and I’m sure most potential members will will need to have a double take on it simply to gather the gist of it.
I can’t say that it’s the worst thing about Limu but, it’s annoying nonetheless.
Most People Will Ultimately Fail
Although I couldn’t find an income disclosure statement showing the amounts individuals make with Limu on a yearly and monthly basis, having seen multiple tens of different statements over the years, I’m still very certain that the results are unlikely to be very good.
In terms of statistics, I’ve found that generally it’s only the top 5% who make anything half decent, at around $1k/month whilst it’s the top 1 percentile that are able to make a full time income of around $2k+/month.
Of course there is a chance that Limu may have better stats however, I still believe the stats I’ve provided are to far off the truth.
THE GOOD THINGS
People Do Like The Products
A positive about the company is that people and users of the products genuinely do like them and have seen some very good results with them.
So in that regard, although Limu is in the very competitive health and wellness niche, it does seen to produce supplements and beverages that do work.
It’s Been Around A While
The fact Limu is right now 15 years old going on 16, is a very big achievement and adds a lot of credibility to the company. The fact is most companies tend to fail within 10 years so Limu still being around for as long as it has adds a helluva lot of credibility to the company.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION
I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).
Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.
This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products
