Royaltie Review (Worth It Or A Scam?!)

It’s likely that you have come across Royaltie through an email list, on social media or got it recommended by a friend or family member.

Is Royaltie a scam? The reasons why you’re here is because you have want answers right so, that’s what I’m going to provide for you within this Royaltie review.

First and foremost I must commend you for actually doing a bit of extra research before committing to joining Royaltie. For all you could have known, the product could be a major scam so the fact you’re here right now, researching whether or not that’s the case is a pretty smart move on your part.

To be fully transparent with you, I am personally not a member of Royaltie so I can assure you that I will not attempt to sell you it unless of course it’s worth investing in.

What I will aim to do is provide you with an unbiased 3rd party look at Royaltie that will hopefully help you to make the best decision you can in the end.

PRODUCT NAME: Royaltie

OWNER/S: Justin Belobaba

TYPE OF PRODUCT: online marketing MLM

PRICE: $87/month minimum

SUMMARY: No, Royaltie is not a pyramid scheme or scam, mostly because according to the owner 90% of their customers are retail based however, as a business opportunity to promote, it isn’t one I’d consider being worth your time.

Recruiting seems to be a crucial component to succeed with the company, the products at this current moment seem to be mediocre, for some reason royaltie aren’t upfront about their compensation plan which kind of does make you question if they truly believe in the MLM model at all and most importantly MLM’s just seem to have a very low chance of success.

Therefore, I personally would not recommend becoming an affiliate but, if you still want to see what they have to offer within their marketing suite, if you’re able to spare $87, although it doesn’t seem to be amazing across the board, people have praised it so it may be worth checking out.

FINAL RATING: 2/5

RECOMMENDED: No

WHAT IS ROYALTIE?

Royaltie logo

Royaltie is an AI driven marketing MLM developed by an individual named Justin Belobaba. The company was initially founded in 2017 but quite recently, in late 2019, the whole business shifted from selling bluetooth devices otherwise known as gems to now offering marketing services in the form of landing pages, SEO, email marketing and so on.

A little background on Justin would reveal he’s actually someone who has experience creating softwares before, having previously founded Healthscreen Solution, Inc, a medical software and service company for Canadian physicians which was later sold to a private equity company.

He also appears to be a Harvard University alumni which at least shows the guy knows how to study and probably is a very hard worker although it doesn’t necessarily mean his business opportunity is the greatest in the market.

Royaltie appears to be Justin’s only foray into the MLM scene but, his experience within the software market shows that he’s at least somewhat experienced in the creation side of things even if he doesn’t do everything when it comes to creating a useful marketing software for individuals looking for his specific resources.

ROYALTIE PRODUCTS

Royaltie now sell what they claim to be an all in one marketing tool to its customers. As for what’s included in the package, according to Royaltie’s marketing copy, the marketing suite comes with website hosting, SEO, online advertising, social media, blogging, email, lead management and analytics.

The suite is also split into 3 different monthly subscriptions, which included the following :

  • Entrepreneur – $87 a month
  • Small Business – $167 a month
  • Marketing Agency – $327 a month

Royaltie also sell marketing impressions too, which are priced in the following manner :

  • $30 for 5000 impressions
  • $50 for 10,000 impressions (restricted to Small Business and Marketing Agency only)
  • $112.50 per 25,000 impressions (restricted to Marketing Agency)
  • $200 per $50,000 impressions (restricted to Marketing Agency)

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH ROYALTIE?

As is the case with pretty much all MLM businesses there are 2 ways to make money with them, Royaltie being no exception.

1. The first method is by directly selling the product to other individuals and in return make a commission for the sales

2. You make money through your recruits and downline, by getting residual income by following and meeting certain criteria as well as make money through bonuses and incentives due to meeting company set goals.

HOW TO GET STARTED

Royaltie does not appear to list any mandatory fees to join it on its website however, in order to qualify for the compensation plan, individuals will need to invest $4.95/month and a further monthly fee by purchasing one of their marketing suites

So, This means individuals will need to pay anywhere from $87 to $327 a month to promote the opportunity although, do note that purchasing the cheaper package or the more expensive package won’t impact the compensation plan’s income potential.

Furthermore, you’ll also need to recruit three other individuals who do the same so, qualifying for the compensation plan won’t be easy for most people to accomplish.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

There are a fair few elements to the compensation plan so I’ll list them down here so you can at least understand how you can make money as a Royaltie affiliate.

Firstly, you should know that there are 10 different ranks affiliates can achieve within the company. Below I’ll list them down for you along with the criteria necessary to achieve them :

  • Bronze – generate $250 in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2
  • Silver – generate $1000 in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2
  • Gold – generate $2500 in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2
  • Platinum – generate $5000 in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2
  • Jade – generate $75000 in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2
  • Pearl – generate $10,000 in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2
  • Sapphire – generate $15,000 in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2
  • Ruby – generate $25,000 in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2
  • Diamond – generate $40,000 in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2
  • Black Diamond – generate $60,000+ in monthly sales volume across levels 1 and 2

This isn’t the most affiliate ranks I’ve seen within a MLM but, the criteria to move up in the ranks definitely does imply that you will need to be pretty good at recruitment in order to make the most out of the opportunity offered.

Residual Commissions

This commission is paid out via a unilevel structure. What this means in that affiliates will be able to recruit and earn infinitely horizontally but vertically the earnings will be capped. In this case the earning potential is capped at the level 8.

There are 2 different elements to the residual commissions earned.

Within levels 1 and 2, affiliates will revive a flat commission from recruits whilst levels 3 – 8 incorporate a percentage based calculation of the sales volume generated within each level :

  • Bronze ranked affiliates earn $100 on levels 1 and 2
  • Silver ranked affiliates earn $365 on levels 1 and 2 and 3% on level 3
  • Gold ranked affiliates earn $1000 on levels 1 and 2, 5% on level 3 and 3% on level 4
  • Platinum ranked affiliates earn $2000 on levels 1 and 2, 5% on levels 3 and 4 and 3% on level 5
  • Jade ranked affiliates earn $3000 on levels 1 and 2, 5% on levels 3 to 5 and 3% on level 6
  • Pearl ranked affiliates earn $4000 on levels 1 and 2, 5% on levels 3 to 6 and 3% on level 7
  • Sapphire ranked affiliates earn $6000 on levels 1 and 2 and 5% on levels 3 to 7
  • Ruby ranked affiliates earn $6000 on levels 1 and 2, 5% on levels 3 to 7 and 3% on level 8
  • Diamond and Black Diamond ranked affiliates earn $15,000 on levels 1 and 2 and 5% on levels 3 to 8

Leadership Bonus

Affiliates can earn money through a leadership bonus I, which according to Royaltie is earned “by having a rank that’s the same or greater than a Level 1 Affiliate from whom the bonus is earned”. I personally don’t quite get how it works but, what you can earn through it includes the following :

  • Bronze ranked affiliates are paid a $50 Leadership Bonus
  • Silver ranked affiliates are paid a $75 Leadership Bonus
  • Gold ranked affiliates are paid a $100 Leadership Bonus
  • Platinum ranked affiliates are paid a $150 Leadership Bonus
  • Jade ranked affiliates are paid a $200 Leadership Bonus
  • Pearl ranked affiliates are paid a $250 Leadership Bonus
  • Sapphire ranked affiliates are paid a $300 Leadership Bonus
  • Ruby ranked affiliates are paid a $400 Leadership Bonus
  • Diamond ranked affiliates are paid a $500 Leadership Bonus
  • Black Diamond ranked affiliates are paid a $600 Leadership Bonus

Royaltie aren’t really very open about their compensation plan as it’s quite hard to find the plan, being literally at the end of their affiliate agreement page and from the looks it, it seems to be heavily reliant on an affiliates ability to recruit if they want to find success.

THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS

Recruitment Appears To Be Crucial For Success

If you want to succeed with Royaltie’s business opportunity, it’s quite clear to me that you will need to recruit a ton to do so. The retail commissions seem to be non existent considering the only thing that can be sold are the marketing suites which means you’ll almost always be recruiting in some way shape or form to make money with the company.

The good news is that you don’t actually have to become an affiliate in order to promote the products and according to Justin himself within behindthemlm, 90% of his customers are retail customers however, this doesn’t mean recruitment isn’t essential to succeed within the company because ultimately it is, despite not all customers being affiliates too.

That’s why unless you’re willing to get good at recruitment or you aren’t already, I’d suggest skipping the affiliate side of things with the company. On the other hand if you’re just curious about the software offered, it might be worth checking that out although the reviews on the marketing suite are quite the mixed bag.

Not Upfront With Their Compensation Plan

This is more so a minor problem I have with the company but, it’s a problem nonetheless and worth mentioning. Often times when a company makes it hard to view the compensation plan, it does have you question the companies integrity which is why it’s not great that Royaltie fail to be transparent with their compensation plan.

The Software Offered Is A Mixed Bag

According to reviews on trustpilot, the marketing suite is quite frankly a mixed bag where some people absolutely love it whilst others have had a fairly poor experience with it.

Royaltie Review good

So, when it comes to the quality of the marketing suite offered, it appears to be quite hit or miss whether it be due to not being able to downgrade your membership, to getting no results whatsoever.

Most People Will Fail As Affiliates

Although there aren’t any concrete stats to back up this statement directly from Royaltie’s income disclosure statement, having seen many many income statements from other MLM’s, I’m still very certain that the chances of an affiliate succeeding won’t be great at all.

Generally around 5% of all affiliates tend to make a decent income of around $1k/month whilst a messily %1 tend to make a full time income of around $2k/month.

Of course I’m not saying that the stats I’ve stated above are Royaltie’s numbers exactly but, I doubt they’re too far off.

THE GOOD THINGS

I can’t really list any major positive things about the company. As a business opportunity it doesn’t come across as being all that great and as a retail product, it seems to be decent but it can be really expensive and occasionally problematic for some.

In short Royaltie isn’t a bad institute but neither is it great.

IS ROYALTIE A PYRAMID SCHEME/SCAM?

No, Royaltie is not a pyramid scheme or scam, mostly because according to the owner 90% of their customers are retail based however, as a business opportunity to promote, it isn’t one I’d consider being worth your time.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

I personally will always recommend against using a MLM business model to make money, not because you can’t make money through it (you totally can) but, the system has always seemed shady to myself and is kinda synonymous with the likes of a pyramid scheme or scams (MOBE and Digital altitude).

Instead I prefer working with something created through ones own means and is ultimately dependent on yourself and your work ethic alone.

This method I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

The reasons as to why I recommend it over MLM based structures are because

– there is no need to recruit constantly

– it is a legitimate method that has been working consistently and continues to grow as more businesses want individuals to promote products

– and because it is free to start up, no unnecessarily large start up funds needed.

The service I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to sign up to and will get you set up and ready to start your affiliate marketing journey within minutes, as it did for me when I begun my journey.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me regarding Royaltie, feel free to do so in the comments section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have your own thoughts about Royaltie and would like to talk about it, again feel free to do so in the comments below!
